Question: How is the rankings affected after Wardley came from behind to stop Huni?

Does Wardley crack the top 5? Or top 10?

Do we enter Huni at number 15 or higher based on his efforts?

Simple votes as below.

Wardley to #7
Huni to #15

BS quick stoppage. Do we wait to see if a protest is lodged and the outcome?

Wardley: No change. He has one-punch KO power but his boxing skills are not world class.

Huni: to #15. On my card, he won every round up until the stoppage, and the count seemed too quick.

Wardly to 6.... Its dramaticaly too high... but everyone else above him has been stopped recently and not got a win of that quality since....

I'm tempted to put huni to 15 for dominating 99% of the fight.... but when your fighting a wardly/wilder style opponent the aim of the game isn't to win 99% of the fight, its to win the fight... was waved off suspiciously quick... but eh, huni remains out...

I like Fabio, but Wilder was much better. And other than the β€˜raw non-boxer / fight changing power’ combination, they really aren’t all that similar.

Wardley 12th
Huni 15th

And a side note. The heavyweight division is just dreadful outside of a few fighters.
This top 15 is either old men on their way out or unproven untested fighters.

This feeling is definatly part true, but also just partially a result of top dawgs fighting real contenders…

Usyk has taken out 3

DDD took out 3

Kabayal took out 3

Parker took out 3.

It really solidify the top 5… but it makes a mess of the next 10.

wilder had a much longer stretch of success, with a win over a guy better than anyone wardley has been in with, and also didnt draw with frazier clarke . im seeing the emergence of this 'wardley may lose rounds but he gets them in the end' style of argument, but no, he did not get clarke in their first fight

that said, i agree i wouldnt discount the wardley's ko just cuz he was being throughly beaten. i do think it's fair to consider that and to not move him as high compared to if he won without such issues, but even being dominated for so long, getting the win in the end over huni (who i imagine many people had close to top 15) stacks up well to what most hws have done lately

id go 7

Same
Wardley 12th
Huni 15th

Huni won nigh on every round and it looked like the British ref took the chance to stop it as quickly as he could. But I will give Wardley a slight bump (partially because Chisora's fights-also under Warren-have looked fixed to me)

Not really. Wardley drew with Clarke in a fight for the British title. Wilder beat Stiverne, who was the WBC Heavyweight champion of the world at the time, clear, on points.

The only similarity is that Clarke and Stiverne got banged out in 1 in the rematch.

Wardley may not go to the top, but I think he's going further than Frazer and Huni.

He might get better. He seems an intelligent bloke and his takeaway from the other week wasn't "my power will always get me the win in the end" which is the mindset that ruins punchers, rather you could see he was quite shaken by how badly he was losing, and how long for, before he pulled it out of the bag.

He knows those moments possibly won't come against the highest level, who not only will him even less chance to land a big punch like that, but will also be able to handle that power if he does, and will be hitting him much harder than Huni was in the meantime.

That's quite a daunting realisation.

What's nuts about this Davison thing is that apparently he has all these heavyweights but none of them spar each other. That seems mental to me. Who are they sparring? Occasionally they're allowed to talk to each other or something? Why don't they practice fighting each other?
