He will never outbox him in fact Hitchins is having fun winning easy . Only thing Kambo can do is double cover walk on close and try drag him into a dog fight try take his jab away in a brawl other than that try to survive till the end or become more aggressive make it dirty and throw more than 2 punches

Gritty from Kambo. there is only one strategy left for Kambo, some of the purists wont love it... Kambo needs to land hard shots to the dick... get hitchens unsettled... also in the clinch work the back of the head...

He needs to one slightly damage him and two make him angry and lose disaplin and fight not box....

He does.
I was astounded that he landed this shot but Hitchins is probably entitled to an easy first defense, and he’s having it so far.
Once Hitchins starts attacking the body it will close to game over.

All over. too easy for hitchens... he is very Haney like, and we had seen that twice before so it wasn't surprising..

Hitch should try unify...

Kambo should probably retire... or at least just go back to Aus and fight at a much much lower level. Billy dib, then harry garside...

Kambo has fought true world level 5 times now... that is too many times for him... wildly he managed to win won, but the other 4 have been clear as day.

Kambosos vs Josh Taylor. Loser has to hang 'em up, or at least settle into being domestic level and nothing more from here on in.

If both of those guys wanna keep fighting, they might as well make that match.

I quite like the idea of this but I think they are too far apart in weight. Taylor is a 147 now, doubt he ever attempts to go sub 145 ever again. Kambo is a small 140, feel he should still be flirting with the idea of going back to 135.

George has had a very good career - he’s fought the top dogs and made a heap of money. A decent performance may have landed him a big domestic bout v Paro but I can’t see that happening. George said after the fight he’s probably been in one too many wars - maybe we don’t see him again.

Hitchins near flawless, dominated Kambosos as expected but he didn't use his legs like I thought he would, he held ring centre, popped out the jab which was key, sharp 1/2s couldn't miss, Kambosos tried to work his own jab but couldn't land it, it was target practice and Kambosos eyes were swelling by the 2nd round, Hitchins creased him with a body shot in the 5th but credit to Kambosos he has no quit, it was a matter of time before Hitchins got to him and sure enough round 8 that left to the solur plexus dropped Kambosos hard and he couldn't recover, Hitchins excellent

George is just cannon-fodder now for up-and-coming young guns.

Only thing left is a crack at some local blokes who have been calling him out or time to hang up the gloves.

Kambosos might be hinting retirement

“It’s a tough game but one game that I have always loved no matter what,” he wrote on social media this morning. “I look at myself in the mirror and I know that I always believed in myself, took on the absolute best, and always chased greatness. A great trophy cabinet, a hell of a resume, so much love and support from the fans worldwide and a loving family. Win, lose or draw I always stepped up, that’s all people can ask from a fighter.

“Congrats Richardson Hitchins. It was your night, well deserved, respect and God bless your future career. Thanks to all the boxing fans for all the love and support. Just a warrior from Sydney that chased it all. God bless.”

Eddie Hearn suggests 'snakes' and 'bloodsuckers' are putting words in Richardson Hitchins' mouth

Moments after scoring the most impressive win of his career, stopping George Kambosos inside The Theater at Madison Square Garden, Richardson Hitchins declared himself a free agent.

Matchroom promoted the show, and New Yorker Hitchins, who dazzled in front of his hometown fans before putting the Aussie away with a bodyshot, is managed by Keith Connolly.

Having thanked Hearn initially, the 27-year-old Hitchins – while still in the ring – said he was a free agent and that did not go down well with Hearn, who had understandably felt Hitchins had delivered against Kambosos.

Speaking to IFL, Hearn said afterwards that he had felt disrespected by the “free agent” line that Hitchins, who moved to 20-0 (8 KOs), used post-fight.

“I did feel disrespected, because it’s not him. It’s just dogs around him,” said Hearn. “There’s no loyalty in boxing, you’ve got to look after yourself, but when someone has come in when you were on the floor… I remember when I first met Richardson Hitchins, the door of his car was falling off, and to be honest I’ve spent a lot of money and invested in a young man that I really respect and admire and I’ve boxed him at Madison Square Garden, I’ve headlined him in Orlando, when we really didn’t sell any tickets and we lost a lot of money. I kept with it. I headlined him in Las Vegas, where again we didn’t sell many tickets and we lost money, then I paid for him to get the opportunity to fight Liam Paro for the world title. Then I paid up for a big opponent in George Kambosos; paid up for the big homecoming in New York. But Richardson is a good kid. He’s just got some snakes around him and those snakes will make you feel like they’re your guy. But the reality is, they’re bloodsuckers. Certain individuals take a bigger percentage or the same percentage as the promoter who is bankrolling you and paying for your entire path in the sport and making the investment.

“Managers have zero risk. They just let the promoter do all the work. They negotiate the deal. By the way, a good manager is good for your career… I just understand the game, so it doesn’t infuriate me. I just go, ‘You’re a dog, you’ll get what’s fornicating coming to you.’ That’s all. That’s boxing.”

Hearn said he was talking about fighters in general, not specifically Hitchins, and added: “As far as Richie’s concerned, Keith Connolly just said, ‘Make sure you say you’re a free agent, make sure you say you’re a free agent.’ Well, that’s all right, because you know what you’re dealing with. You have to understand one thing, if I’ve got your back, you’re good. If you start fornicating around with me… so really the situation is, do I want to be in the Richardson Hitchins business if it’s going to be like that? I’m pretty big on the loyalty side of the game.”

Asked whether he would work with Hitchins again moving forward, Hearn – who said he did not blame Hitchins – replied: “If it suits me, yeah.”

I can still see him making good money fighting national-level opponents in Australia. But if this is the end for him, he’s done well for himsel. Achieved more than 99% of fighters and made millions along the way. Good for him.

I never understand why Teo didn't call for the rematch. Not unless he refuses to accept the defeat.
