This has obviously been an open secret.
Covid lockdowns had a huge impact on Stefy and many other small business operators - through no fault of their own. I'm not fit to be anybody's judge but I truly hope the sentencing judge factors in the fact Stefy's world had been turned on its head at the time.
Hope they go easy on him.

Going on what his co defendants got, with a third off for their guilty plea, he's in for a long time. The others will be looking at an open prison soon.

The messages started in March 2020 so I’d very surprised if this was driven by Covid which was only just starting to impact things over here then.

I'd consider it, if he has no criminal record and has always been of good character before that, were I a judge. My income had dropped to zero by the end of March 2020. If I didn't have savings to burn through, who knows? Lots of people had a jolly through covid; some of us, however, were financially butchered, some terminally. I'd cut anybody some slack for trying to provide for their families when the government has cut their legs off.maverick23 wrote: ↑17 Jun 2025, 09:03He shouldn’t be treated any differently.Jimmy2025 wrote: ↑17 Jun 2025, 06:57 This has obviously been an open secret.

@Mickey, doesn't automatically mean Stefy was, right? If he was and there's evidence, he'll have to take his medicine. If he wasn't or there is no evidence he was, a fair judge will cut him some slack (albeit the not guilty plea may have been the wrong call).

Going not guilty when you are banged to rights is fools gold.mickey1975 wrote: ↑17 Jun 2025, 07:48 Going on what his co defendants got, with a third off for their guilty plea, he's in for a long time. The others will be looking at an open prison soon.
If he had gone guilty at the earliest opportunity, time on remand serves as double, previous good character, COVID story etc, while still going to jail he would have got off relatively lightly, doing it like this could easily double his time behind the door

Re: Steffy Bull
If he’d plead guilty and explained he had zero income and needed to provide etc then I’d have more sympathy. Strange though that he couldn’t make 2 weeks without income (the conversations started in March 2020 so assuming they were the last day of March that’s 8 days after the first lockdown went live).Jimmy2025 wrote: ↑17 Jun 2025, 09:24I'd consider it, if he has no criminal record and has always been of good character before that, were I a judge. Instead he blamed an unnamed boxer for doing the deals.
Also I wonder where he got the £38k to buy the cocaine from? Do these guys allow you to pay down the line? Or on Klarna?
Could he not have used his profile to do online personal training as a few people I know did?

He had boxers fighting in covid, too.
Re: Steffy Bull
Plead guilty get the 1/3 off , if you know you've done it must have got some bad advice to take it to trial

Re: Steffy Bull
He's gonna get a stiff one I reckon going not guilty on that
And reading through that article like I said on another thread here it absolutely amazes me how comfy people get on devices when they're deeply involved in this sort of thing
You'd be livid if someone said happy birthday to you, and no doubt be kicking yourself mentioning 'the gym' after also being called 'the boxer'
That gives a starting point to look into straight away

Stefy has been at it for years, Covid has nowt to do with it. He’s been driving that stupid massive car for years and he didn’t pay for it from his Harper commission.

Silly laddie is Steffy , always comes across well, his coaching career had never been better, moronic to get involved in this stuff, no need
Re: Steffy Bull
Has he got previous or are you just speculating? Lots of people have massive cars that aren't selling cocaine. I have no clue as I'm not from the area, maybe he has been at it for years, who knows? and, like I said earlier, I'm not fit to be anybody's judge.SeanBrennan wrote: ↑17 Jun 2025, 12:32 Stefy has been at it for years, Covid has nowt to do with it. Pleading not guilty has likely scuppered his mitigation but, if I were him and there's no evidence of previous wrongdoing, I'd use the pressures of Covid to try and explain away a daft decision - he's got to try something.
Even though I don't use drugs personally, I don't like seeing people getting long stretches for selling recreational drugs used by people from across the social spectrum. It's not like it's smack.
The thing I am a bit confused about, though, is the previous reporting restrictions and the period on remand being so long after the trial?

Re: Steffy Bull
I hope they’re not too hard on him, I mean I don’t know for sure but it doesn’t sound like he’s very bright, especially pleading not guilty
A terrible mistake, he probably just sees it like weed - everybody uses it down the boozer, it doesn’t kill people ( except in extreme circumstances ) I mean go to an Anthony Joshua fight at Wembley probably 50% are on the bloody stuff.
When you’re being sold the idea of making huge money quickly easily, minimum effort, fast turnaround etc, 38K is not very much to come up with
I often think what they did to Michael Nunn in the states, near killed him, 30 years, just a daft kid.

Re: Steffy Bull
Yeah the time they give out for drugs compared to what they actually give proper wrong'uns for the most part is sickening, soon as you go in for a few quid they whack you for it, and they don't give a f**k what wider problems drugs cause either, it all fuels the business and revolving door that is prison and ticking legal boxes,
Lots of enchro cases take a long long time to get round to being dealt with, been people on remand far longer than what he was waiting
No point whining about it now though, it's damage limitation time, then he's got the POCA to come most likely

Re: enchrochat
I still think there's a good chance that down the line we'll all have to fund a fortune in compo payments to those found guilty off the back of enchro.

Re: Steffy Bull
The trick is to play the sympathy card after pleading guilty at the earliest opportunity, they are likely to take it at face value, without investigating to see whether it is true or not.Jimmy2025 wrote: ↑17 Jun 2025, 13:36Has he got previous or are you just speculating? Say you know you have done wrong and deserve to go to prison.
As things stand he is looking at 15 where he will do 10.
If he had done things right he would have got more like 12, reduced to 8 on the guilty plea.
Behave yourself and you will be out in 5, any time spent on remand will count as double too.
In a nutshell it's the difference between 5 or 10 behind the door.
