Who was Mike O'Dowd? Still, he was not in the great Mike McCallum's class. McCallum was in another level.
Re: Mike McCallum Vs Mike O'Dowd
If you don’t know who he was, how can you state McCallum was in another level? Weird. Just state your usual X (one of your favorite fighters) was “in another class” and pretend you know who the opponent waselmersalsa wrote: ↑07 Jun 2025, 16:11 Who was Mike O'Dowd? I know who was Mike O'Dowd. Nobody in boxing as an expert speaks about him being great.giacomino wrote: ↑10 Jun 2025, 04:28If you don’t know who he was, how can you state McCallum was in another level? Weird. And I don't think that he was in Mike McCallum's level, either. If he was, he would have been there mentioned a lot by the boxing experts.

He’s in the hall of fame. Certain “ experts “ must’ve thought highly of him.elmersalsa wrote: ↑10 Jun 2025, 14:15I know who was Mike O'Dowd. Have you seen him fight?Expug wrote: ↑10 Jun 2025, 19:15He’s in the hall of fame. Certain “ experts “ must’ve thought highly of him.elmersalsa wrote: ↑10 Jun 2025, 14:15I know who was Mike O'Dowd. Nobody in boxing as an expert speaks about him being great.

And if you did, was he better technically sound than the great Mike McCallum?
I doubt that he was.
Re: Mike McCallum Vs Mike O'Dowd
It’s not whether I’ve seen him fight, you said he wasn’t in mccallums class. What do you base that on? I don’t know whether he wasn’t or wasn’t. I typically don’t say a fighter is a class below another if I haven’t seen him fight. I’m curious how you came up with this.

I don't think that Mike O'Dowd had the ability that the great Mike McCallum had. End of story for me.Expug wrote: ↑12 Jun 2025, 17:53 It’s not whether I’ve seen him fight, you said he wasn’t in mccallums class. What do you base that on? I don’t know whether he wasn’t or wasn’t. Re: Mike McCallum Vs Mike O'Dowd
Elmo just knows these things. He doesn’t actually have to see someone fight. He just knows “a different class” when he sees - or doesn’t see - itExpug wrote: ↑12 Jun 2025, 17:53 It’s not whether I’ve seen him fight, you said he wasn’t in mccallums class. Re: Mike McCallum Vs Mike O'Dowd
Mike ODowd is obviously a good fighter. As shown with a draw with legendary Harry Greb.
The problem I have with determining who wins is the lack of footage we have on ODowd.
Like Greb who no real footage is known to exist.
With ODowd we have 1 fight of his on YouTube
I'd love to make a prediction but I do not have any evidence to base this on
