I don't know much about him, he's 27-0 (21 KOS) and has 13 KOs in the 1st.
Anyone know more?

I was impressed by the way he beat Gio Santillan to win the vacant title.
Santillan had been on a hot streak himself prior to getting stopped by Norman.
I also like how Brian is going on the road to defend his title. Japan next month against a big punching local boy.
If he wins that maybe they can get him over to Ireland for the winner of the Crocker Donovan rematch

he waasnt impressive till he fought santillan, who was on a good run. then he was ver y impressive in that fight, showed a bit of everything. outboxed, outfought, and broke down a very tough dude. on that form he'll be hard to beat, but would like to see more consistency with it

Norman jnr scored a devastating knock out win defending his WBO Welterweight title against a Japanese challenger.
Awesome finish![[icon_e_surprised.gif] :oo](./images/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif)

Who does Norman fight next..?
Should he remain at 147..?
I don't see anyone relevant at 147 wanting to risk getting flattened.
Teo, Rolly, Devin, Ryan Garcia,..? I think they'd all duck out.
Maybe that guy from France who just beat Edijius K.(The Mean Machine)(The guy who lost to Crawford and Virgil Ortiz).
Maybe Mean Machine will even volunteer for the Cannon Fodder opponent role..?
Or, another potential opponent, that Brit that decisioned Josh Taylor recently..?
Maybe Josh himself could use another payday, even as Cannon-Fodder.
Like I stated though, I'm sure that those Big 4 of welterweight relevance would all duck Norman at this point in time.
Sad but True.

Karen Did hang in there with Boots, and did quite well in a decent Test-Opponent Based Role.
Being that Styles make fights, and Norman has that Dynamite Left-Hook Equalizer, Karen getting Flattened in a round or two wouldn't surprise me, unless his durability and awkward style pulls through for him, and perhaps he leaves Norman Having to box his way to a hard earned decision win. That's what I see basically, either or.
Maybe a decent test opponent, like he was versus Boots...?
Maybe just another highlight reel knockout victim...?
I'm kinda at 50-50 between those two scenarios.
Mid rounds Tko for Norman is also obviously possible but I see that as less likely.
Either Norman gets him out early with an Explosive Ko Statement, or boxes his way to a fairy wide decision win.
If that were to occur, then Maybe someone else sees something of potential for themself and proceeds to call Norman out.
If Norman gets the Ko, then I think he'd have to simply move up to the Real Hot Spot of Boxing(The 154 Jr MW division).
Re: Brian Norman Jr (WBO welterweight champ)
So word out today is Norman v Haney will be made for later this year.
I know that's going to be the best money, by far, but I'd rather see him fight often against other top 15 opposition. Get a highlight reel of exciting KOs before going into a fight with Haney which will probably not be that great to watch.
