What about contacting the sports photographer Lori Grinker ?
She recently published a book of photographs of Mike Tyson taken between 1981-1991.
Her first assignment was focusing on Billy Hamm
( who lived in a trailer and stayed at the mansion on weekends to train.)
Maybe Billy Hamm gets some royalties from the book from the photographs of him in it.

Re: What happened to Billy Hamm? (Cus D'Amato protege)
There is a bit of background nfo on Billy Hamm in the 1981 volume 3 edition of INSIDE SPORTS.
he was adopted at 15 days old, weighed 60 lbs and Cus D'Amato was training him to be the 'Future Champeen of the World".

looks miserable in the gym in the videos with him. an article about him says he complains about not being able to watch tv at night when he had to wake up early for fights or training.............id say almost certainly a case of lacking interest. probably not much longer after these featuresControversial wrote: ↑04 Jun 2024, 04:39 I'm guessing as Hamm was so young at that time he just lost interest in boxing, not unusual for that to happen.

Yeah, the 1981 Sports Article said he was living in a trailer with his adopted parents at the time,
and spent the weekends at the old Thorpe Victorian Mansion.

check out this NYT article from November 1984.
no mention of Billy Hamm in it.( who would have been about 14 then.)
It mentions
John Colangelo (18)
Jeff White (19)
Mike Tyson (18)

Re: What happened to Billy Hamm? (Cus D'Amato protege)
im guessing that is from early 1981.Controversial wrote: ↑16 Jan 2024, 06:16 This popped up on YouTube, Billy Hamm aged 10 at the time and seen as a prospect being trained by Cus and Teddy Atlas. The youngest fighter Cus trained apparently. Cus said to be aged 73 in the video so this would've been around 1981. You can see the same Tyson style. Hamm would be in his early 50's now, anyone know what happened to him?
Mike Tyson started going to Catskill reguarly in June 1981 and moved into the Thorpe mansion in the Fall of 1981,
and must of taken the attention of Cus D'Amato and spotlight from the press from Billy Hamm.

He probably just lost interest not long after this was in the media and never boxed again

This was filmed in August 1982.
is that Billy Hamm getting his gloves laced up at 20:15 of this clip ?

Re: What happened to Billy Hamm? (Cus D'Amato protege)
was reading Teddy Atlas's autobiography the other day.
In it he writes that he first went up to Catskill New York in October 1975,
and when he got there Cus D'amato was already helping train two yoots,
by the names of Kenny Zimmer and Jeff White,
and also an 'old man" named Fred Sherber (who came across the river )
wonder what became of all of them ?

Mark Kriegel touches on him briefly in his book on Tyson. Never went pro, ran into problems after 18.
