Always liked Catterall but I know he can stink the joint.

I was afraid of when he fought Taylor the first time, but that was one of his best performances.

But his performances since have been meh

As soon as I saw the head clash, I thought "hope it's bad enough to stop the fight"

I don't want to see either guy again, and you can shove any rematch where the sun doesn't shine.

KOs 41 yr old 5'9" ! :salut:
He's more 6'2.
thanks for that :TU:

Matchroom has him listed as 6'6" - that's dumb.
for some reason matchroom has started massively inflating the height of their new guys. i dont recall it being so egregious before, maybe it's part of their rebranding lol

pat brown at 6'6 when he's maybe 6'2 (see with more genuine 6'6 orie below)
atang similar story, maybe he's 6'3, defo not 6'6. he reminds me a bit of haye physically, a bit beefier.
nishant dev was always 5'9 in the ams, then signs with matchroom and got boosted to 6'1

omari jones, always at 5'11 previously, signs with matchroom and is suddenly 6'1. he fought dev in the ams and was clearly a couple inches taller, which would have fit with dev being 5'9 and him being 5'11, not with them both being 6'1

i get rounding up a height an inch, but ffs they are giving 3-4 in some cases

do these guys look the same height? brown comes up only to del's eye level

I wonder if HH has started working for Matchroom. Every just gets measured in relation to Paris Fury’s height.

I managed to fall asleep before the Cordina fight & woke up just as they were about to announce the decision in the Catterall - Eubank fight. I’m guessing I didn’t miss much?

Doesn’t sound like they’ve done themselves any favours if they were hoping for some Riyadh money

The first Taylor fight was passable, agreed on the whole though.

I was going to give it one more round and give up so the head clash worked out well.

The party stopped after the Pat Brown fight, it became a slog after that.

Catterall is what he is, he's not going to change, so a lot depends on the style he's up against and someone in reverse gear is the worst possible partner.

I didn't think Harlem would be that bad but the occasion seemed to get to him until the ref stopped it and then he became animated with claims of victory. I'm logging him in purgatory with Archie Sharp for now until he proves otherwise

Catterall should never headline a show ever again. He is good but his style is like watching paint dry.

This is why I couldn't be bothered when everyone was complaining about Catterall Taylor 1. I really don't care if a negative spoiler like Catterall gets robbed. He shouldn't get rewarded for making the sport unwatchable. Harlem was dire. He is thinking boxing is about twitching like a hyperactive squirrel in the ring. It shows his lack of comfort in the ring because the likes of Bernard Hopkins get their feinting work done with about 5% of the effort expended that Harlem was using. He was winging shots wildly and rushing in with his balance all over the place. Sounding like Audley Harrison after the fight and making a fool of himself in the post fight interviews. It's a case of people are going to be laughing about you behind you back when you make these types of comments about everything was going so well. Dangerous to fight someone who is that amateurish and is coming in with the head like that. The fight was absolutely awful but catterall had more class.

Eubank accuses Carl Frampton

“I was preparing to come in and dethrone Jack [Catterall] in his backyard,” Eubank told BS. “It was hostile in here tonight, and that's exactly what I was prepared for, and I had to take it out of the judges’ hands. Take it out of people that were angled towards Jack. I had to take it out of all of their hands and that is exactly what I was doing and executing a game plan to take him out late. The referee stopped him from continuing and they [Frampton and Catterall’s team] even tried to spin it and say that it was a female doctor [the doctor in Eubank’s corner]. No, fake news.”

“You know, if he's genuine, he'll run it back straight away. I said to them in there, run it back. They were like, ‘Yeah, yeah, you know, we'll run it back, we'll run it back.’ So that is what needs to be done and if they don't, then it tells you all you need to know.”

As mentioned the cut put us all out our misery, it was as bad as I thought it'd be, I only gave Eubank a round, he never done nearly enough punching, Catterall landed all the telling blows, looked more in control, keeping it simple, the left hand was the difference and his countering was sharper, poor spectacle, the cuts were bad after the clash, Catterall's looked worse , bizarre that they were gonna let round 7 start before it was stopped, thankfully for all of us were spared
