Must admit i enjoyed reading that, it made me laugh so many times, especially the bits about wanting street fights with Danny Williams & Audley Harrison :TU:

I used to enjoy watching Hide he was a decent fighter, but when he opens his mouth he sounds like a poor mans James Toney IMO.

Herbie is a real 'character'. Don't know why but I have a soft spot for him.

And, no, it's not a deep marsh just outside of Norwich.

I might even pay to see Hide-Haye. And that's saying something!

I like Herbie a lot. He is a nutty as a fruitcake though.

On O'Neil Bell: "I've seen him fight, he couldnt even clean my toilet".

Joking aside, he could give Haye and Maccarinelli big problems.

Hide v Haye

Probably the best fight in British Boxing.

I like Herbie.I can't see Macca's or Haye's handlers letting him anywhere near their fighters though, not at the moment anyway.
Too much risk for too little reward.
I would fancy him to do a number on Macca certainly.

I reccon Haye's would actually they don't have much fear about putting him in with people who can potencially beat him if it will develope him/his statuse and marketability also hide is chinny as hell and Haye hits hard, wouldn't be bad befor he moves up to HW to leave a former WBO champion on the camvas

Its a shit hot interview from the shy and retiring Herbie Hide

Glad to see that Hide still classes himself as a British fighter and that he wants the BIG fights on the British scene, hopefully he can keep active and force some of the fights. Hide Vs Haye/Hobson/Enzo are all fantastic fights (especially Haye), I hope Herbies still got plenty in the tank and I hope we can see some of these BIG all-British fights, but I don't think we'll see many people calling out Herbie Hide.

I like Herbie, I'm glad he's back in the ring and i'm glad he's fighting at Cruiser. The Dancing Destroyer is back in town!!

If Herbie has still got it the UK promoters should be queueing up to sign him up, he could be a trump card in the buzzing domestic Cruiser division they IMO they should be looking to get Herbie on board, put him on a few undercards, give him some UK exposure and let Herbie do the rest (with his mouth and his fists). Its a gamble because he's crazy as cuckoo shit, but he's always entertaining in and out of the ring

the problem with the interview is that the guy doing it spends his entire time kissing his ass and at no point mentions the fact that if he gets struck by a glancing breez on the corner of his head he falls down would be genuinly interested to see how Hide deals with that issue.

The problem is that Herbie (though I like him) has such thin skin, if the reporter accused him of being chinny, Hide would chin him.

Hasn't he grown up at the age of 35? I hope he gets big fights because it will make things interesting. He could quite possibly dominate CW, I cant see any current CWs taking Bowe/Vitalis shots either.

theres no way herbie would make it to the ring against macca or haye. big talk before the contract signed then a mysterious injury crops up IMO.

Oh come on...the guy fought Bowe and the bigger Klitschko!!!
What on earth has he to fear from Macca and Haye?

It would make for a couple of decent fights, and one thing is for sure,IF Hide does land with a bomb, both Macca and Haye(both dodgy chins)would be in laa laa land.

If Herbie was half the fighter he thinks he is he would be twice the fighter he actually is.

Thats said even if his chin is one of the worst out there... I still like him.
