Berbick to outbox and outpunch the President to take a decision as Ike never proven himself to be a threat after beating Tua by decision in which Tua may got robbed and stopping future IBF Heavyweight Champion Chris Byrd and wasting his career in jail for many years. As for Berbick, he fought good or great fighters even though he beat the on his last legs Ali, but beat a Pinklon Thomas to win the WBC Heavyweight title before losing his title in his first defense to "Iron" Mike Tyson.

berbick is one of several tyson victims who was a better fighter than tyson slaughtering them would make it seem. i have actually gained more respect for tyson going through his opponents and seeing just how many he beat far better than pretty much anyone else. even marvis frazier was a pretty dang good boxer.

that said, while berbick could probably be tricky for a bit, ike would have too much firepower. either stopping him in the 2nd half (ike not blazingly quick handed like tyson and wouldnt catch berbick by surprise so early) or dropping him a few times to win a wide decision

I had a similar realization recently going through Tyson's career. We all kinda began to sh*t on him as overrated because I guess he didn't quite live up to the Impossible Standards set for him based on how accomplished he was at such a young age, but as you get older you're able to see things in proper perspective, and not get so swept up in the hype and exaggeration.

Mike Tyson was definitely a special Champion in the sports history. Trevor Berbick wasn't an easy night for most.

ya, tyson was a beast no doubt. some people go crazy with it (usually 'casual fans') and then the more knowledable fans sometimes go overboard the other way to balance that out, but for real he was an atg heavy

maybe the most explosive heavyweight ever, the hand speed speed + power combo was unreal. ive watched many of his old training vids and when he shadow boxed he could throw punches so fast you couldnt even see all of them unless you slowed the video.

one of the most intimidating, brutal fighters in hw history despite being only like 5'10 with stubby arms, but at his best he was just that good. i think around lower top 10 all time.
