The last thing I want to do is be a nuisance and I don't want to ruin a perfect cadence of mythical fight on this thread. But i am doing a project, and want sure of anyone would be interested in me posting it here. It would be contained on one thread, so wouldn't necessarily clutter anything.
I’m running a long-term boxing-history project involving 2,688 real fighters from across the sport’s history. The tournament is the framework, but the real purpose is researching and rediscovering fighters — many of them obscure contenders, regional champions and journeymen whose stories have largely disappeared.
Before posting more about it here, I wanted to see whether this is something the Boxing History community would enjoy following here.
For example, one recent card led me into Joe Beckett’s career as British heavyweight champion after World War I, his fairground-boxing roots and the Carpentier fights. Another introduced Lottie Mwale and the history of Zambian boxing. I would include images, results, commentary, etc.
