Just seen interview of Gomez jr where he says his corner told him to play it safe over last 2 rounds as he's so in front.
As a challenger work the 12 rounds leave nothing to chance.

That wouldn't be a bad one if Whyte still wants to keep fighting. Or Chisora or Joyce for that matter. All 3 of those guys shouldn't fight again, but if they do, those are the kinda guys Wardley oughta be trying to get.

A rematch with Parker could be interesting, but he needs some gimmes first. Hell Parker probably does to for that matter considering he's had to sit out a year.
Think obvious one would be Richard Riakporhe for British title , if the board would allow it
Riakporhe is 36 years old and would be a decent payday for him.
Yeah that too, but honestly first thing is get him as close to a gimme as you can get for him. After 2 tough defeats like that he just needs a win. Any win. To rebuild his confidence a little, and just get back on track.

But yeah Riakporhe sometime next Summer could certainly be a decent bout as well.

Dubois has all the options in the world as well. Title unification with any of the other titlists. Maybe a fight with someone like Joseph Parker or Jarrell Miller just to get another title defense in there if he wants to stay busy. I doubt very much the Fury/Joshua winner will want any part of him, and I doubt Wilder will either so those guys are probably out, but being a Heavyweight titlist, and probably one of the bigger draws among the men who currently hold a belt he'll have plenty of options in his future.

Current top 15 of WBO rankings quite a few of them are tied up with upcoming fights, few gimmies in it as well.

1. Oleksandr Usyk (UKR)
2. Tyson Fury (GBR)
3. Anthony Joshua (GBR)
4. Fabio Wardley (GBR)
5. Moses Itauma (Int-Cont) (GBR)
6. Joseph Parker (NZL)
7. Bakhodir Jalolov (UZB)
8. Frank Sanchez (CUB)
9. Deontay Wilder (GBR)
10. Nelson Hysa (WBO Global) (ALB)
11. Viktor Vykhryst (WBO Europe) (UKR)
12. Brandon Moore (USA)
13. Gustavo Trujillo (CUB)
14. Richard Riakporhe (GBR)

The ones I highlighted are the best options on that list

He's lost to Usyk twice. He's beaten Wardley twice. Those are done and dusted. Fury or a rematch with Joshua would be huge of course if they win, but I wouldn't hold my breath for that. Hell I'd hate to see him even start negotiations with Fury because that would just means he's gonna sit around waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting for Tyson to sign the contract for a year.

Frank Sanchez is the mandatory for the IBF title so even though he'd be a good opponent I figure he'd be more likely to fight Hrgovic first if anyone.

Hysa is booked to fight Kabayel, and will likely get knocked out of the rankings after that.

I don't know anything about Vykhryst. I'd think he has to do something to get international attention before he'd get any consideration same with Moore and Trujillo

Riakporhe and Huni are on the fringes, but aren't worthy of a title fight without getting another notable few wins on their record.

Hrgvic will be next for Dubious. I don't see much resistance in that fight as Dubs should stop Hrg.

After that it's just a merry go round, we are waiting for the likes of Atang and the new generation but that 2 or 3 years away.

Not to mention that Fwank probably really has it in for Hrgovic since Hrg beat the man he thought was going to be his Golden Goose

So he'll be trying to get anybody to take that title off of Hrg

So say after 10 rounds Gomez's corner thinks he's 8-2 up in rounds.

They say make it safe and you're the champ.

But 8-2 , if say couple of close rounds in that go to O'Doherty that makes it 6-4.
Give away the last 2 rounds and that's 6-6.

Bad call by the corner to give away last 2 rounds, who does that!!

Think Hrgovic gives Dubois another very hard night, very close fight.

As I recall their 1st fight was fairly even up until the cuts stoppage right? Been a minute since I seen it, but I don't recall Dubois dominating him or anything like that.

Absolute piss take that this BUM was HANDED a world title after a dodgy win over Fatty Parker, then had the audacity to play Billy Big Bollocks and act like an actual world champion

He might go down as the worst heavyweight champion of ALL TIME.

If you're a British heavyweight with talent, stay away from Brain Damage Ben.

He's fornicating awful.
Could'nt agree more , If he keeps training these top level heavweight monster punchers , he's gonna get one killed , or seriously hurt , he was even unsure has to wether or not throw that towel in ,
, But it was always obvious Fabio has a white collar fighters defence , HIS CHIN, why oh why has'nt his trainer been teaching him to hold his fooken hands up.

And that does;nt include BASIC BASIC , BASIC boxing ,, Has soon has a beginer walked in my gym , the first two punches he had to learn were Jab and STRAIGHT RIGHT , , until kids have mastered the basic straight punches don't worry about hooks , ect there easy to learn hooks especielly are easy to teach because there natural , ( watch two kids in a playground ) they swing for the trees ,

Fabio fought on instinct not learnt skills , but the really terrible thing is , he has been with this clown long enough he should off been pulled over the coals and made too punch correctly , learn his distance and learn to defend , .

You will off read my posts over the last few years , which will tell you I totaly agree with you , whats more the little success he has had , i believe comes from the fighters being trained elswhere and using there own nounce ,

Kabayel v Dubois is the fight. What could realistically top that match up.

Jalalov, hopefully he switches sports to indoor bowls or something.
Frank seems set on Dubois Vs Hrgovic though, despite Hrgovic having a mandatory and Kabayel having absolutely nothing else to do.

I think he gets let off because he's so dumb but he's a dirty fighter and has said some rough stuff too. Don't think he quite understands how to do anything else.
