Sometimes what happens in the gym is completely different than what happens in a real bout. Some guys try new things or work on something in sparring that makes the other guy look better than he really is. There are also "sparring champs" that always look great in sparring, but seem to fall apart in front of a crowd.
Who did he box at Ringside? I was there, but didn't see his bouts.
