A great result for Froch .. and another exciting fight.

I`m just not convinced he`ll keep the title for that long, he had a close fight to win the title from another untested fighter .. he came within 14seconds of losing the title in his 1st defence ... and got knocked down heavilly by a guy who isn`t really noted for his punch power

Taylor almost pulled it off .. only his well documented stamina problems let him down .. how will Froch fair against a genuine big hitter at the weight? .. because its very clear now his defence is almost non-existent :(

It's weird that when Taylor puts on his best, sharpest boxing, he gets knocked out. Twice now. In some ways this was the best boxing Taylor has produced.

I think those fights against light middles hurt his development somewhat. Allows physically stronger, dtermined blokes who "want it" more to take him down.

Froch better than he looks.

Calzaghe not as good as he looks.

Froch legacy will be his FIGHTS (dramatic wars v talented fighters).

Joe's legacy will be his RECORD (gaudy numbers).

Anyone else think that the slugging match with Pascal helped Froch step up to, and outlast, Taylor? (in another way I think that Haye wouldn't have beaten Mormeck had he not beaten Fragomeni).

What a great fight. Well done to both fighters and obviously Froch. Forget who can or can't beat, in his first defence he took on the no1 contender away from home and got off the floor to do it.

He too as two good right hands in the third as you see. A beauty flush on the chin and then another right on the top of the head that put him down. Taylor didn't have time to capitalise on it but he didn't do much with the 25 odd second he had either.

Froch is one tough customer and as long as he's standing he's in a fight. He gets caught and comes straight back. Does make me laugh andI know it's how he fights but he must drive Rob McCracken mad because he'd get caught with half as many punches if he just kept up his hands more but suppose it's his vulnerability that makes him exciting to watch, a bit like Naz.

Really felt for Taylor, that must have been a real heart-breaking loss and don't know if he can come again and to be fair he'll have to do what Froch did if he does get a rematch and come over here.

Great fight with lots of quality and good shots from both fighters and very exciting. Kind of fight that makes your realise why you love boxing in the first place.

Hats off to Froch. Fantastic win.

Stamina has been a problem for taylor for some time .. if Froch got Taylor out of there quicker than pavlik did .. then that would have really impressed me ..

Great result .. not so sure it makes Froch as good as some on here think

taylor was drained in the 1st Pavlik fight though. I dout he was drained as a 166 pound fast lean super middle.

Full credit to both fighters. I was really impressed by Taylor and that was definately a peak and prime Taylor. Anyone giving him grief are being a bit harsh. He boxed well and even traded with Froch and took a few decent shots. I doubt many other in the SMW division would have lasted till the 12th round with him fighting like that and that's where Froch should get all the praise. He is just one hard ba$tard. Taylor looked the more skilled boxer but in the end Froch was just too tough.

I doubt many would have lasted against Taylor (sorry for being unclear) with this particular performance. Especially after being laid out in the 3rd.

after scoring the fight i had it 106 - 105 taylor , So with the way i had it even if it was in the judges hands it would go to froch. I had the couple of rounds draws as it seemed froch started well but taylor always had a spell to catch the eye near the end of the rd, i could see that the judges eye may have been caught.
In general frochs performance was sloppy and he got caught with many clean punches, Well done in the last rd when both men were exhausted

I forgot about tyson , i think someone said he was ill and didnt fight

just seen the fight properly now. Taylor didn't outclass him but he definately looked better. Froch would definately be on the wrong end of a 120-108 if he fought Calzaghe

I would have to agree with the fact if he fought joe it would be a lobsided decision joes speed would just rack up points.
After watching it would anybody think froch could beat cal?

I think maybe taylor deserves a re match , what do you think?
Frochs wive is nice maybe thats the only thing froch beats joe on and that could be a controversial sd.

TBH I think he will lose his 0 to somebody unheralded if this defence doesn't fix up.

His fights are so exciting because he isn`t good enough to dominate ..

Those who say this was a peak Taylor are forgetting the last few years .. remind yourselves who ran Taylor close during his reign .. and what weight division they came from.

Most of the guys in the WBC top 10 would have a better than even chance to get their hands on his belt.
