Flint was an iron man but Cowdell just had his number and even the Cartel struggled to bring him back after that. Does anyone remember Jimmy's last ever fight with Steve "Sammy" Sims, a hard case himself? The heads were going in, the low blows, because Flint was getting frustrated that he could not budge Sammy. Then he began taunting Sammy by dropping his hands within punching range. Sims promptly stepped in and poleaxed him with a huge left hook.
Flint still had plenty left but I think he quit out of embarrassment.

Can i throw this one in. Its a guy who always gets plaudits for being a brilliant boxer, and also a fantastic puncher etc, but in his very long, long career he was only ever stopped once (by heat exhaustion) and only dropped a handful of times, mainly when he was much older. Sugar Ray Robinson probably had the best chin in boxing ever.

Maybe not the hardest, but one i guy thought was mad as a balloon is In-Jin Chi.
He walks through everything.
I remember watching his fight against Erik Morales was unbelievable, In-Jin Chi just kept coming on, even when it looked like he was going to get stopped , he just bit down on his gumshield and came back.

Yeah, Chi had an incredible ability to absorb punishment - shame his career was cut short through injury.
