Fair play, how you explain it, it just how Davies has come through and picked himself up with heart and character to become british champ. maybe he an make it more of a fairy tale storyunorthodox wrote:
i dont want to seem like im jumping on the gary davies defensive bandwagon cos im not, i try my best to keep out of the arguments. i was knocking about with gary when he took this fight and he was going through a pretty poop time with just splitting from his long term girlfriend and his mother being ill. he took this fight with only a couple of weeks notice because he needed the money and ultimately paid the price.
a gary davies whos had a full training camp is a totally different proposition tho, add to this the experience of fighting martin power and then challenging and winning the british title plus now having a solid team behind him, he is no doubt better prepared these days.
if i remember rightly, martin power said something about not being himself for his fight with gary so he will understand that if you're not completely mentally & physically prepared then you're are not going to fare very well.
you dont always see what goes on behind the scenes...
