what's it going to be like when a really tough opponent comes along that khan should fight? how is there going to be the money to make it "worth the risk" if said fighter isn't a mandatory challenger? right now (pac notwithstanding) there is little glamour at 140 and you could see khan developing quietly and adding to his arsenal. but what happens when his "kessler" or "lacy" comes along?

khan v kotelnik was really just a european title level fight....hardly the kind of stuff to get the average punter to fork out extra for.

SPOT ON! Khan and "the Olympians" are vastly overpaid. No one pays to see them, no one cares to watch them, who care? Khan is worth about £100,000 per fight for his 5000 fans in arena and 28,000 on TV while the other 3 "Olympians" I couldn't even put a price on them. Difficult to see how many fans they brought to the MEN, but they are not 'stars' at all and Warren cannot turn them into stars. He's the first shot boxing promoter in history.

I have asked the UFC for any kind of VALIDATION on this and they can't come up with a Shred of Evidence to Substantiate it......I've heard of Rounding up to the nearest Million but adding a Million for Good Measure seems to be UFC's policy now haha

For the exposure Amir has brought to boxing, i thank him..... its just the 'clever' match-ups i don't thank anyone for.

when u got ppv to shift then a name like morales does make sense.

i thought morales was unlucky against diaz last time out.

unfortunately he's looked a bit like ricky hatton off training in recent pictures i've seen though.

i will contonue to watch khan on PPV. i would rather buy PPV now & again than have the atrocious SS package. but i just don't get excited about khan. even the new and improved khan. i can appreciate what he is as a potential commodity in boxing. but the prospect of his fights don't raise my pulse.

boxing has to innovate. thankfully there is stuff like the Super 6 tournament happening. if that works out well, hopefully new and exciting strategies will develop to provide competitive and exicitng boxing, in which the viewer doesn't really know who will win; and can expect eventful fights. next to Super 6, these "Fight Skool" PPVs look like a sad joke.

basically, there is a very big disconnect between on the one hand Khan's best career strategy- a Virgil Hill/ Sven Ottke type trajectory- and the way that for various reasons he has been and will continue to be marketed

I said similar in BIGMARK's topic, that Warren only has Khan as a marquee name at the moment so he'll keep hold of him until he has created another (most likely DeGale).
