i think the brooding needs to be done outside of the ring, not during fight time. clinton was negative v tarver, fewkes was negative v gethin, and i think we generally produce moody fighters though I've forgotten many examples.


Donny does apparently have high amount of HIV infection (an infected bouncer shagging women drinkers in town a few years back), drug addicts, and the odd murder every few years on the back of the Town Fields here and there. it is also filled with crazed taxi drivers making emergency stops in the middle of roads, incoherent drunks screaming "THEY GO BACK!", toothless old men who urinate in chirchyards by day and cackle, "waaaah, waaaaah" when teenage girls in tracksuit tops walk past them by night, and even in respectable areas, neighbours who fornicate loudly with windows open to let out the wild grunting noises.

Hatton was World class level but fell short of mixing it with the elite. Witter is a level below, definately not World class but good enough at Euro level. No way will those two get it on. What would Hatton prove now by beating Witter who brings nothing to the table. Cant see Witter/Khan comming off either. Witter may not be World class, but is Khan, and what would happen if Witter nailed him with a big one, and it could happen. Too risky, Frank will be looking at non punchers for Khan. A loss to Witter would be like going back to post Prescott, but it would be much harder to rebuild again. There are fights for Witter but as the opponent, which he wont like. Witter was too inactive at the wrong time in his career, otherwise he may have gone further. Then again his style at the top level just doesnt work, so maybe not.

You forgot to mention the gypsy population!!! Its a sh1t town like most are these days.

Witter fans need to face the truth, their man should have won both these fights, but he didn't, so you can't then turn around and say, "Well, Hatton lost to Floyd and Manny" or make the insane claims Lirva is making about Witter doing better against those two names. Junior did not do well enough to even get into that type of contest, when asked to step up, on Sky, on HBO, on Showtime, he made a mess of things.

Fantasists can say, "Junior would have done X, Y, and Z to Kostya and Floyd", in reality he never showed any in-ring signs that he could make an impact in those big, pressure fights, if the pedestrian styles of Bradley and Devon give him fits, then what would Tszyu have done to him? Spare the N'dou talk, that was a good win, a poor performance, and it killed a lot of US interest in Junior.

This is not anti-Junior, by all accounts he is a good guy, trains to the utmost of his ability, and wanted it, but he never made it, and his fans are so utterly deluded that they kill any sympathy that people have for the guy. People like DG and Lirva are decent posters, but Witter has the most deluded fans of any active fighter. Hatton's fans may be pissed, but you lot must be on crack.

Witter, after the loss to Judah, revitalized himself and was looking spectacular. He spent a year too long waiting for Hatton. In THAT form, he should have went for the jugular and went to the states. Can't blame him for waiting for Hatton, whos undercards he was fighting on and who claimed he had "a contract" to fight him. We all know that was about as real as my 10 incher.

I don't see Witter being KO'd like Hatton was against Pacman, in the form he was in back then. Personally I don't. He gave Judah problems imo (116-112 on one scorecard) and he had no power back then. He had much more power than Hatton and that made him dangerous against the likes of pacman or Floyd. Would he have beaten either? I don't think so, although he'd have a big punchers chance with Pacman imo. Floyd would just be too good all round.

I think Witter would have lasted the distance with both. against Alexander, he was clearly deteriorated. he's 35 or 36? He's been too inactive and of course some reflexes are going to go at that stage.

I would argue that Hattons fans are the most deluded. here we have a guy who went 40-0 against nothing but bums while the whole world was laughing at him for cowardly not stepping up. Then he fights a 36 year old champ with 3 rounds in 2 years coming off a career threatening injury (I believe Tszyu actually retired at one point but reversed that). and yes, this was the same Tszyu given a hiding by Vince Phillips. And the fight wasn't exactly clean. Then he got cut to shreds against Maussa and struggled to a win, hugged the life out of Urango for a win, got bounced around the ring by Collazo and almost lost (arguably did lose), beat a Castillo that got a gift decision against Ngoudjo and then got two thourough hidings against Floyd and Pac. Lets not even mention his struggle with lazcano.

Prime for prime, Hatton vs Witter is an enthralling match, a pulsating encounter and a great clash of styles. Hatton robbed everyone of the fight and we'll never know what would happen, but seeing Hatton struggle with fighters with slickness, I'd go with Witter to catch him and bang him out of there.

Hatton gets knocked out cold by any version of Zab Judah.

As for Alexander, we haven't seen enough of him to comment, he looks decent and has a good style and good power. Hatton would have difficulty at the very least.
