The fact that Wonjongkam and Narvaez, two superbly talented fighters, held flyweight belts for the better part of a decade and never fought each other or any of the other top belt-holders in their primes is criminal. Both made a huge number of absolutely lame title defenses while real fights went begging.

When should that have taken place?
Curry won his welter belt (the WBA one, that is) v. Hwang in February 83. Duran basically finished Moore that June. Not much of a window there.

Tito/Mosley (sometime between 2001 and 2004, the earlier the better though)

Barrera/Morales IV (I'd watch these guys fight a dozen times, maybe not should've, but definitely one I'd want if only for my own greediness of seeing fierce combat between bitter rivals)

Toney/Hopkins (it was being discussed briefly in 2003 and I would've loved to see it come off)

Roy Jones Jr/B-Hop II (in 2002 after the "60/40 I'll kick yo ass" interview on the HBO doubleheader would've been ideal, both still at the peak of their abilities)

Castillo/Corrales III (damn JLC missing weight, I was so over the moon excited for this one at the time, damn shame we didn't get it)

Marquez/Maidana (if these two met at 140 pounds anytime between 2009-2011 it would've been a scorcher)

What weight for Tito/Mosley and Toney/BHop?
I'm especially curious about Tito/Mosley because by 2001 Tito was a middle. Shane wasn't nearly as good even at jr. middle. Those two juuuuuust missed each other at welter. Shane didn't go up to jr. middle until 03 when Tito was temporarily retired. Tito came back again--but at middle.

I wish Gomez had unified either with Randolph (would've been huge in the States because Leo was one of the 76ers) or Palma (quality fighter). 122 should've had just one champ. I'd favor Wilfredo, of course; think especially Palma would've been a good fight.

Pedroza/Lopez.

Either:
Navarrete/Choi II (first one was controversial because Navarrete was down in one of the rounds and the bell rang early)
or
Limon/Navarrete II (way earlier than it happened)

Floyd/Casa and Freitas.

Whitaker/Espana.

Sammy Fuentes v. Hector Lopez II. Forgotten classic that could've gone either way. Ring didn't believe how good it was; then Ivan Goldman sent them the video, and he ended up doing a feature story on the fight.
