Yeah I wanted Enzo to KO Haye on a personal level
Haye is a good expsolive fighter - and a pure banger - and I always knew that his straight right hand would be a real danger in knocking out Maccarenelli
But I defentely wanted Enzo to spark Haye with a big left hook
Haye is a smug bastard when it came to that fight - and I would have loved to have seen him laid out
The after fight - was a feeling of anti climax- Maccarenelli froze and didnt perform - and the fight was a let down
Certainly wasnt the Battle of Britain that had been hyped for weeks before

OK. Another thing Flint, do you feel Big Macc could have done a lot better in that fight? Can you see a different outcome if they ever fought again?

I rewatched Macca-Lebedev this morning and, good lord, he looked terrified from the opening bell. He just doesn't want to risk coming forwards any more.
He always looked a little fragile but now he looks like porcelain. Can't hold a shot probably because he has flashbacks to Haye flattening him.
Macca never had a chance against Haye except for a lucky punch. Haye's speed meant that Macca would have always lost in a shoot-out and Haye's reflexes meant that Macca's chances of landing the lucky shot were slim anyway.
Just a case of lower b class meeting middle a class and getting shown up for it. Haye's ruined him.

I think FluxStuff summed it up in his post.
Alot of ESB would think I predict Enzo would beat Haye in rematch.
However I explained that was just a wind up persona.
The reality is - I thought Enzo could beat Haye - but feared he might be outclassed - and so it proved.
Haye is too fast and accurate - and defensively the best of the two.
Enzo has got the raw power to KO Haye - but Haye was too classy to let him land anything.
A rematch would go the same way - because I dont really see what Enzo could do any different other than tighten up his defense a bit and he may last longer.

No such thing mate, it's not as if a punch is thrown by accident now is it?

Flint, I don`t know you from Adam, but I worry for you mate.
Reading this entire thread has taught me two very important lessons.
1) Never "talk" to yourself on an internet forum
2) Seek help before it slips into full blown obsession

Far from it pal
The internet is not important to me at all
Its just a bloody boxing forum - a place to come and have some fun and talk some shit
It has no bearing on real life
Its people who take internet forums too serious that need to get a grip on reality

I understand this
I admit - on ESB during last year - 2008 - I was on a wind up - making Enzo threads
I was trolling there
However - this is documenting what happened - no-one can say I have trolled in this thread
Haye crushed Enzo because he was a superior fighter
