Michael Holden is 41 years old ! He hasn't boxed in six years ! and even then... he was coming off two wins in his last seven ! And now he could find himself in with the British Champion ? The Olympic Champion ? This is not good for the division or the sport as a whole.

Worst still... What if he wins !!! You never know with Danny. Stranger things have happened (not alot stranger but still)

Making a joke of our already painfully bad heavyweight division.

Sure it will be watchable but in line with Bennie, at the same time cringeworthy.
Ah, yet again we have the usual hypocrisy spilling from the mouth of BoxingChat. Given some of the 'bodies' that you've been involved in shipping in over recent years to act as easy KOs for your stable of prospects, I find your claim to be concerned about it being cringeworthy to be somewhat laughable.

If I so much as get a whiff of a post on this thread that isn't Prizefighter related, you're getting an official warning. Carry on and I'll ban you.

People are sick and tired of journalists using this forum to post their feelings/grievances about each other. You're in a position of priviledge and responsibility. Act like it.
I'd typed out a huge post about a girl I once knew who wore leopard skin knickers, it was the first time I heard EPMD, and ended in a two-woman punishment dished out to me by two very bad girls (one of them the leopard skin bint), and how it ruined my career in the clergy, it made sense to post it, kind of, but I'm not a journalist, so I won't, it is an interesting one though. Everyone I've ever recited it to shouts, "Bloody hell! That is awesome!", even the gay guys, especially the gay guys.

However, I digress, I think Big Aud will win every fight by 1st round murder, he will then beat people to death with the trophy (before giving it back to Matchroom) and generally let out the rage, pain, and frustration that has been brewing in him for the past four years.
Leopard skin knickers? That's a bit unethical, isn't it? How on earth did they get through customs?

I don't think anyone's found a way to compare Mike Holden to Muhammad Ali before!

Look, age and inactivity accepted, I don't see how Holden against Williams or Audley is such a horrendous mismatch, especially over three rounds. He's game, strong, durable, and while an immense underdog, he'll likely be no worse than Belshaw or the mystery man Barrett. If he gets bombed out in a round, then it's the worst result for him but the least punishment taken. If he loses 30-27 or 30-26, at least he can say he stuck in there. He might win a first-bracket fight if he's lucky with the draw, but even in the worst scenario type of loss, the fact it's a maximum of three rounds means he's unlikely to come to serious harm.

As for whether or not the Board would sanction Holden against Williams or Audley under conventional circumstances, I'm sure it would depend on the match length. He probably wouldn't be licensed for more than 6 x 3 at this stage, until he proves himself. These are three-round fights. OK, this format entails a maximum of nine rounds for the finalists, but if Holden makes it that far, then his inclusion will be vindicated.

i think sprott will win it, he has been the most active over the last 18 months i guess, always mixes with decent opposition and always in decent form. only williams big right hand can potentially trouble sprott !!

And I do fear for Danny in this format. It will be a shame to see him lose his belt on PrizeFighter. But if Fury vs Tyson happens for the vacant belt, then that will be amazing. Danny is shot to bits.
Fury vs Tyson?
I said it would be amazing. :box:

But yeah, that's a mistake on my part. I meant to put Chisora down to fight Fury.

Yeah, the prize is more.
With an £80,000 prize fund - the highest in Prizefighter history - as well a gilt-edged opportunity to get right back into contention, the assembled line up is the strongest yet by far.

it is still

i just worry that the success will lead to its inevitable downfall as everyone chases the money.

we're talking about the 2nd law of thermodynamics here.

Lets not get carried away guys ok it might be entertainment but 4 of these guys have seen better days & the other 4 have yet to have a good day.
The heavy's are not noted for their speed & even the three round format may not be enough to make them break sweat,
The best weights for prizefighter are Middle to Lightheavy where the guys have mobility & a ko punch.

I've been talked into going by the guys I go to boxing with but I'm under no elusions that I will seeing anything aproaching a skillfull nights of boxing

you're a bit wrong here.

the lt heavy cruiser and hw div is best for prizefighter

go and watch it before you cast a decision.

i would def give it the nod for entertainment over the usual bills with pathetic undercards.

Prizefighter has its own narrative with heroes returning to wage war...its like the ancient greeks, baby

Check out the dolan rogan fight

also the burton sexton final...they were really exciting.

and the cruiserweight comp was full of everything.

the fact that a standin journeyman like Ovil mackenzie won dosnt make it crap...it was a great tourney with no guaranteed outcome....

and thats the point...most of the big bills have a main event and undercard that you can predict every single time...

not so Prizefighter ...the faves hardly ever win

join the future !!! :box:
