Dunne just couldn't resist mixing it up close and paid the price dearly.
The Thai's shots went through him like a sledgehammer.

That was confusing. I couldn't tell what put him down the first time and he kind of went own oddly everytime.
EDIT: Ah, replay cleared it up.

It was a left hook that first did it I think

Wow did I need that. Large on Poonsawat, 1-3 and not distance.

It was kind of weird because the crowd didn't respond to the first knockdown at all.

A mover with a chin will beat Poonsawat though.

that was really odd how he went down but maybe because everyone just went quiet including the commentators which was dead weird, it showed how biased he was.
i think we all knew poonsawat was going to stop him, I didnt expect it to be this early but Dunne just isnt strong enough and he will NEVER be a world champion again, although I think he nicked the first two rounds to be honest.
Cracking little fighter Poonsawat is and I would love to see him fight Munroe, but I dont see him going out of Thailand much.

The commentary just goes quiet when Dunne gets clocked, then Dave says he didn't see the punch, twice he misses it, and even through the crap steam I could see two almighty left hooks put him over.
Oh well, the Thai looked deadly even when he was missing by inches in the 1st.

bernie didn't stick to the gameplan, was doing well in the 1st 2 rounds, shouldn't have mixed it with a guy like that.

Personally, I'd love to see Poonsawat get the Vazquez fight.

Well done to Poonsawat Kratingdaenggym
Bernard is a very exciting boxer and i hope he can come back from this. Its a shame for Irish Boxing as he was a really big ticket seller too.

Well Dunne overachieved and he should be proud he won a world title. I didn´t think he had it in him to beat Cordoba and he simply overcame Cordoba with sheer will.

Agreed. Munroe's not a huge puncher so it won't be over early like this. They should definitely try to make it.

Bernard Dunne is great for the Irish Boxing fans but I have to see he's a real crier and so dramatic at times. We've seen British champions lose their titles in the last few years and not seen them cry and make these big speeches what a load of bull.
Poonsawat was too strong and we all knew that Dunne was chinny, Cordoba had him down twice in one round and Kiko Martinez blew him out in the round.
This guy hasnt a chance in this division now in my opinion because Rendall Munroe will be too good for him if they meet and his best chance will come if Rendall vacates the European belt and mobves up for a bigger challenge.

I don't know why he traded after getting put down. Even after the second knock down if he held on for dear life he probably would have made it to the end of the round at least, I think there was only a few seconds left when it was stopped.

I think because it looks very likely Dunne won't ever get his hands on a World title again.
British champion is not the same as World champion.
