I would like to see Khan fight Maidana now, then a talented and fast guy like Holt or Alexander.
Simpson was a walkover, Prescott an anti climax, and Khan a first roudn KO.tonyevs wrote:That show turned out to be a crock of poop really didn`t it. Anybody like to tell me if they thought any of the fights were good?? ones I watched were shyte :(
I just wonder when he'll fight another puncher. Maidana, Ortiz and Urango can all hit (the first two in particular) and I just can't see Warren being in a rush to get them. Bradley, Peterson, Hopkins are all light hitters and are yanks to boot so could be seen as safer. Holt is somewhere in-between. The dudes at Sky are kidding themselves on if they think this means Amir is going to take over the world. Fair play to him though. He took care of business tonight.Finch wrote:I've always wanted Khan to rematch Prescott before getting a world title shot. But I admit, Khan is passed a re-match.
I'm not saying he's better than prescott, i still want him to fight a puncher and top notch fighter, but he's way ahead in the pecking order now.

I think based on scalps your right but I also think Alexander (who I forgot to mention) is more talented and Ortiz (if he can recover) may still turn out to be something. Bradley's lack of power may see him out-sped by Khan and I think it's 50-50 as Bradley to me is 'good' but no more.sg1985 wrote:I don't think you could criticise him if he were to fight Timothy Bradley next, I don't think he will but the Bradley is the best active light welter out there right now.WayoftheCass wrote:I just wonder when he'll fight another puncher. I think for Warren , Maidana is all risk and no reward. Can't see them being in a rush to make it.Cannibal wrote:Khan should do Maidana on the Pac undercard and then maybe a Hatton/Marquez winner in the summer if Hatton doesn't chuck it in that is.

Forgot about Diaz. That would be a great fight. He would be right in Khan's face and is much higher profile than the rest. Though based on the way Diaz tore into Marquez for 6-7 rounds that could turn into a complete night mare for Amir. Malignaggi would be a non-event IMO. He can't punch for toffee.terminator wrote:Khan vs winner of Diaz-maglianaggi on the undercard of Pac-Mayweather
Oh, he's better than Kotelnik, I agree. But I just don't see that he does anything outstandingly well. Solid all rounder who beat the darling of British boxing forums, really. He's quick, and he's busy. But I think Khan is quicker, and can maintain the pace quite easily. Khan would have to be alert, because I can see Bradley landing and hurting Khan, but not the other way round. I can quite easily visualise Khan outpointing Bradley though.crusader wrote:states wrote:I can see Khan outpointing Bradley. Quite easily, actually. Am I alone in this?
Bradley is very fast and agressive. He also has excellent stamina. I can see Khan outpointing him by utilizing his reach, but Bradley isn't just a limited guy like Kotelnik who will be easily outboxed.
Would be surprised if Malignaggi won that. Think Diaz underrated him last time. When you look at Baby Bull's record he's beaten much better fighters than Paulie. Don't know how much JMM defeat took out of him though. Thought he was terrific for the first 6-7 rounds against JMM but then it all fell apart. Though JMM (at lightweight and below at least) can be masterful at times. Khan-Diaz would be a great match-up.sg1985 wrote:I would definitely be impressed if he fought Bradley next and won, would be a great fight for a first fight in the states but I have a feeling it's more likely to be Malignaggi if he beats Diaz next week.WayoftheCass wrote:

Maidana's the 'interim champion' isn't he?sg1985 wrote:Two mandatories back to back?tonyevs wrote:I thought he had to fight maidana next?
