For one reason and one reason alone, I hope Duddy prevails.
Chavez broke the rules, and got a real favour off the Nevada State Commission with a tickle across the knuckles.
Jesus, they back dated the suspension to run from the night of the fight, so by the time they gave their judgement he'd practically already served the sentence.
He's a drugs cheat. End of.
Aside from that I really am astonished at Autobarn's comment.
The WBC Light Middleweight title is relatively meaningless ?
What the fornicate ?
Martinez, Margarito, Cintron, Rhodes are the top four.
It ain't fuckin meaningless to us pal !

just heard the martinez has done a "moonlight flit" and this fight will now by for the WBC title. Dont know if there is any substance to that but there would be some craic rubbing it in the "boo-boys" faces if Duddy was a world title holder.
From "bum and chump" to "world champ" in an evening. Some craic alright. But he will need a knockout to get a draw down in the Alamo - solid Chavez territory - unlikely he will get a decision down there!

Are you absolutely sure about this ?
I was reliably informed yesterday that Chavez can't do 154.
Martinez has vacated at Light Middle, retaining the Middlweight title.
I hope Duddy does a number on him I really do, but not at LM for obvious reasons !

Sergio holds the WBO and WBC middleweight title - surely he couldnt have held the light middle and the middle at the same time. Anyway I could be wrong.

You are wrong.
He was stripped by the WBO.
WBC rules state you can't hold their title at more than one weight.
They gave him the option.
He chose Middleweight.
He now only holds one title. As I thought, this fight is, and remains, a Middleweight contest bewteen Duddy and Chavez.

I understand the "silver belt" has been created to achieve final eliminator status.
In other words the winner of this fight will become Martinez' mandatory.
I think the WBC are desperate to find young Chavez a route to a World Title.
However if you're not good enough, you're not good enough.
I am taking a punt on Duddy in this fight.
Should either of them end up facing Martinez then I think there's only one outcome.

I think the WBC seem to have sort of loyalty to the Chavez family. He cheated, which is shamefull in any sport, but dangerous in boxing, and I don't think he is even remotely near world class, and has done absolutely nothing to get to his postion. Its a shame he is not light middleweight anymore as that would have been an easy win for Ryan over a reocognised name.

Duddy 159 and Chavez 160
Duddy has looked a little shop worn in his recent wins and almost looks like he has lost his love for the game
Chavez is a drugs cheat and really lost his fight but seems a lot fresh and hungry despite his obvious limitations.
Heart says Duddy late TKO, head says Chavez points victory. I'll let the heart talk again!

Keep the faith mate - but I fear if it goes to the scorecards there will be only one outcome reagardless of what's happened in the ring.
I've had a punt on a Duddy stoppage.
In the words of Keegan "I'd luv it, just luv it ...."
I would seriously love Rhodes to put this drugs cheat into oblivion at LM.

I to think I remember seeing him fight Oisin fagan, a natural super featherweight, a few years back.

I wish I knew what the fornicate that arsehole Puerto is saying.
Clearly he's had a grammatical by pass.
The message from Rhodes is clear.
Get in the fuckin queue.
When you bring 1 oz to the table , or a ranking worth taking off you then open your big fat mouth.
Until then enjoy watching the World Cup with your man, cos you ain't gonna be fighting on these shores any time soon.
