not being funny mate but I just don't believe it, or it just doesn't fit with what i could see that night. watford coliseum isn't that big (1500 max), it wasn't full that night and there were empty seats, and (apart from the Barker fans) Fury fans, McDermott fans, Bradley somebody fans(can't remember his 2nd name, was a good ama little short chap had a nice little fight against a latvian), plus some Irish lads over for Steve O'Meara and Scott Belshaw. i would have estimated there weren't much more than 1100 fans in there, tops, and as i said the contingent supporting barker looked to be a couple of hundred.
but then i am rubbish at those type of estimates, so...

matthew has taken lots more stick in his career. he recently got his nose bust in sparring in the wild card gym. barker will be too sharp for him and unless matthew gets through with an absolute cracker then darren will be tough enough to grit a decent points win. macklin is as game as they come but i sometimes think barker has not really got out of 2nd gear yet in any of his bouts. i don't really think either will be able to get to the very top of world class but both are solid european class with barker having the edge.

simon- he had chance to get into/out of 2nd gear vs the french fella last time round....
only managed it for 6 rounds or so. either his 2nd gear's got serious limitations, or he needs to find a 3rd gear?
anyways I am going to pick Macklin, as the above is the only tough fight Barker has really been in.
true it means Macklin has taken more stick but it also means he's more used to fidning himself in the place Ryan Rhodes had to drag himself through to beat Moore

from the Birmingham Evening Mail
already 8,000 tickets have been sold with Barker ordering 4,000 tickets for his fans.
