Smith was outstanding.People have to remember it was only his 11 fight against a seasoned 12 round champion.I know Smith was a brilliant amatuer but that worked both for and against him last night.The great long range stuff,one-two's,were made for the computer scoring system and you could see how advanced in it he was.In the ams they arent really interested in in-fighting,they dont even score it,so obviously he has a lot of work to do there.Last night can only have done him good in that department.His temperment was superb as well,when he made his way to the ring you would have thought he was 40-0 and at home!He can only get better.By the way,i scored it level and am not a scouser!

end of the day he's undefeated, he's beat a really good fighter in simpson & will now come on ten fold from this fight.

great performance from Swifty in his 11th fight, set the really pace well, he made a few mistakes tho. I'd have scored the fight a draw due to punches landed was even and to be champion you need to really beat a champion. felt a bit sorry for simpson, big well done to smith tho for wanting this fight

It were very close and I thought Simpson had just nicked it; he must be feeling awful today. Smith was impressive and knew he'd been in a fight; he showed class in the interview afterwards.
