Just reading through how some people have got 9/1 on an Anderson KO/TKO. Absolutely unbelievable. I've got no idea who/how bookies construct these odds but they are an absolute mile off with that. Just rechecked the odds and they're nowhere near that now. If Anderson does won the bout by KO (he's got a pretty good chance imo) then some bookies are going to be in some big trouble!

Kennys the hardest hittter in the super middleweight divison, ask billy nelson :-)
I hit a lot harder than Anderson, ask my bird
and I'm not likely to be the hardest hitter in the entire super middleweight division

He would have been messed around in his next scheduled fight too, in my opinion.

What are you alluding to there??????

Well going by your KO% on boxrec Anderson hits harder than you, you have two mutual opponents Dean Walker who you both stopped in 3 rounds and Simeon Cover who you fought in your 14th fight and beat by 4 points and who Anderson fought in his 5th fight and knocked out in the 6th round
I think Billy meant he hits the hardest in the Britsh super middleweight division not the entire super middleweight division ;;-)

I see that boylesports are offering 8/1 on the ko/tko/dsq for anderson. Thought i'd let anyone know that missed the 9/1 that was on offer (inc myself). Well worth a small stake

100% Groves. Respect them both but IMO Groves has the edge here.

Cheers for the heads up.
I fancy Groves to win by UD but that 8/1 is too good to pass up.

I agree with Adam Booth when he said Anderson would be a tougher opponent than Degale and the danger here is that Groves is looking past Kenny.

That sounds like two ready made excuses if he loses?

Apologies to all the Anderson supporters, but having checked out all the footage of Anderson I can find on youtube, I don't give him much of a chance in this fight. Sure he looks strong and appears to hit quite hard but at the same time seems noticeably slow of hand and foot compared to Groves.
Also, I'd say Groves has shown a greater punch variety. Anderson does look sturdy though, so it wouldn't surprise me if it went the distance. However, I'll be very surprised if Groves doesn't win this quite comfortably. I'll go out on a limb and say Groves by stoppage around round 8. But good luck to all those who bet on the scot. I'll be more than happy to be proved wrong by Anderson.

BP, i can't watch Groves and more specifically the way he'll leave his chin out to dry without thinking a full 168lber with a punch *could* clean him out. I'm not sure, until Groves irons out his glaring mistakes, that I could ever confidently call a fight totally in his favour, notwithstanding the fact that to quote the great McInvanney Anderson's footwork 'looks like it was learned in a school for deepsea divers'

Looking at that fight, Anderson looks a decent operator, nice jab and looks like he hits very hard when he steps in, but from what we've seen of Groves he looks another level to the Scotsman. The only way Kenny wins is if the Groves chin is as poor as some are making out. Otherwise, Groves should win this easily.
Though George seems to be getting as cocky as Haye and Booth lately. Calling Anderson his next "victim". I know he's only half joking, but it seems too overconfident, a bit like tempting fate.

.
it's not that he's chinny, per se, but that he leaves his chin out to dry and punches with it sticking out at all kind of angles.

It's a big stage, but in some ways I'd prefer it if Groves v Anderson was on a different card, but top of the bill.
We don't get treated to fights of this nature often enough and these two should be getting shed loads of exposure for fighting each other at his stage of their careers.
To me it's one of the best British matchups of 2010.

Defo butch fair play to both of them especially anderson for stepping up at such late notice aswell,
