I've thought about it a lot, and have re-watched some of Wladimir's knock downs, and I can't look past a Haye ko victory inside 3 rounds.I reckon he will catch him very early and that will be it.It will be exciting though, just the anticipation alone will be something.

I think Haye will start off walking around the ring. Wlad will hit little with the jab. Will even jab the guard.

Haye will not care for the boos or any gesticulating from Wlad. He will actually see that as a positive sign.

At some point though Haye will dart in to sting. I imagine he’ll have more success than Wladimir in these moments because he’ll be bouncing. If Wlad times one rush though he will end the fight. Or if Haye forgets to vary his angles enough he will be in trouble.

At some point Haye will land and Wlad won’t like it. The smirk will become all the more irritating and I can see Wlad forcing it a little too much and haye finding the shot late on in the fight.

Wladmir by KO, he's far too big, skilled and hard hitting in my opinion. I know Haye IS heavy-handed but don't think he packs the quite same sort of wallop as a Sanders or a Brewster up at HW.

Just don't think Haye's chin is gonna keep him in this beyond 4 rounds, in fact I won't be surprised at all if Wlad decks Haye in the first two rounds, I hope Haye can last at least 3 or 4 before he gets KO'd as I do want to see how well he can do technically for awhile, but yes Haye is getting KO'd early no doubt in my mind.

Why is Haye's chin worse? Wlad's been down eleven times and more imporantly been stopped three times. Haye's record suggests that his chin is of a equal or slightly better than Wlad's.

Mock was a long time ago now and while Haye is never going to be mistaken for Jerry Quarry his only stoppage loss was due to shooting his bolt. He has excellent powers of recovery, like Trinidad, which can be overlooked.

Well there's no way Holy ever had a rep for a delicate chin, and was an old man when Ruiz decked him.
Benn could be put in trouble by big punchers, which both Logan and Mac were, but Benn didn't get hurt by smaller fighters.
But like Benn, Haye can fight well when hurt, so hopefully he can turn into a heavyweight Trinidad tomorrow.
Though can't help but see this as a slightly fragile cruiser, untested at Heavyweight, going in with a man who's going to hit him at a whole new level.

My prediction is. Wlad to win widely on points.

I would love it if Haye backed up his boasts. Sadly, i believe he is all hype.

I had a dream a few night ago that Haye knocked him out in the 3rd so I'm putting money on that, although not at all confidently and wouldn't be surprised if Wlad finishes him early or late. Whichever way it goes I hope Haye shows respect at the end. Been impressed with Wlad throughout. They both looked great at the weight in.

Bidenko landed loads of flush punches on Valuev, but didn't manage to take him out. Valuev stood there and took them all. Haye actually made Valuev stumble, which I don't think anyone else has done.

like most people on this forum, I would love it if Davd Haye won, but there is nothing in his record to suggest that he will do - he has never fought anyone even close to WK as a heavyweight. He has done very well selling the fight with a mixture of smoke, mirrors & bullsh1t, and good luck to him, but he ain't gonna win

Can see loads of different outcomes. Wouldn't bet on the fight - too open - but if you offered to pay off my mortgage if I called it right I'd pick Wlad, around the 7th if you pushed me for a round.

About ten years ago, Haye appeared with Audley some time after the latter's Olympic win. Audley's debut? I remember thinking that Haye, in his tight white top, would've been ideal at the old 190. He looked like a light-heavy at his walking-around weight. He'd have been 20 or so.

Mike Tyson was around 210 by 18. He didn't go above 220 in his prime. So I was thinking: can anyone name examples of boxers moving up to heavy and beating any of its big names? Some talented lighter guys tried and failed: Floyd Patterson, Bob Foster, Michael Spinks and Herbie Hide. McCrory was shown the door by Lewis. Chris Byrd had a great run, and of course the gold standard's Holyfield.

(Ezzard Charles and Archie Moore moved up in weight a fair bit, but that happened gradually throughout their careers, and they mostly fought guys of the same weight.)

Who am I missing?

Haye hasn't fought anyone who punches as hard as Wlad and that 2 stone weight difference is a huge factor.

I don't think Haye can stop Klitschko with one shot but Klitschko can certainly stop Haye with one punch.

I'm in balls deep on the Wlad stoppage win.

Michael Moorer moved up from 175lbs eventually winning the title from Holyfield

Holyfield himself moved up from 190lbs

Not sure I agree that Spinks and Patterson "tried and failed" both were Heavyweight champions. Spinks has two wins over Holmes I would have though he was the definition of moving up to heavyweight and beating a 'big name'.

Well you have to hand it to Spinks, until he ran into Tyson. He pulled off the unthinkable, at the time: the lightheavy champ moves up and beats the heavyweight champ. Then he knocked out the much bigger Cooney.
Haye's got to hope his challenge tonight is more Michael Spinks than Herbie Hide.

The Spink Jinx v The Hayemaker would have been a fun fight.

Finally decided on haye in 4 th round. He's got to start quick and stop Wlad getting into rhythm, otherwise Wlad will take it on points. As I change me mind about five times a day I need to get a bet on quick style. COME ON HAYE!

I know I'm in a tiny minority, but I think this will be a points win for Haye. I'm convinced that Haye will be very cagey and fight on the backfoot. I think he has enough speed to still get off the occasional shot or short combo. Got a tenner at 13 to 1. Going to tense rather than an explosive thriller.
