Look at all the virgin posters having a pop at Arnie  Pathetic trolling. People have different methods in the corners and drawing on personal family motivation is actually quite common. Arnie has made a dig about Hughes, but he's not doing it behind some fictitious forum account (like some of you), he's being quite up front about it.

The amusing thing is that you are judging a trainer on his career up to 33 yrs of age. Not many coaches achieve world champions and trinket after trinket at that age, especially not when dealing with mainly prospects coming through. Arnie is learning, growing, and will do just fine....

Damien's not a virgin poster as such, he's been around for years, but only ever pops up to have digs at Arnie as I think he's related to Brian Hughes. The only thing I'll say in his defence is that perhaps Arnie shouldn't have had the public dig at Brian given it's all history now... definitely one of those things better dealt with by PM.

You have just had two of your big name boxers leave you within 6 months (whatever their reasons, they clearly don't think you're good enough to take them to the next level). You boasted that Matthew Hall was 10 x better since he joined you and then got him knocked out. You claimed that if David Barnes didn't win a world title with you, you'd pack it in only to have David leave you soon afterwards (you say you kicked him out, David suggests otherwise). You have seen Antony Crolla progress massively since leaving you where even his coach has told you mind your own business (he obviously recognises and values how good a coach you are). You have yet to lead any of your fighters to a significant title and yet your are more concerned with coming on a boxing website and sniping at a coach that has achieved a hell of a lot more than you ever have (but maybe he did all of that simply blagging?) I think that says a great deal about you and your mentality more than anyone else, pal.

If I was you, I'd be taking a long hard look in the mirror and asking yourself why you haven't yet lived up to any of your boasts (you claimed that you were developing the Wildcard gym of UK). I'd be questioning whether your boast of sleeping in the gym really is producing your desired results and I'd work on better corner work than when you urged Tony Below to "think of your kids Christmas presents" when helping him come up with a strategy for his fight after he'd been scrambled. I'm not sure that Freddie Roach has used that one yet. As a non-blagger yourself, how about sharing it with him?

Any way, as someone who specialised in excuses as a fighter for whenever you got beat (after Takaloo, it was Brian, after Groenwald, it was the judgesand Billy Graham for not giving you enough attention, after Monteiro, it was 'illness') I will look forward to your latest excuses.
Damian give my best wishes to your dad ;;-)

Virgin poster in terms of not posting a lot, that was his 4th and was full of venom. Enough for me to call it trolling. If you post a here a lot, and now and then say something controversial, that's one thing. If you only post to say something controversial which is clearly ridden with agenda, that's quite something else. I understand where you're coming from though :TU:

To be fair, mate. If someone had a pop at my dad on a public forum, I'd come back with a retort. Damien has as much right to comment as Arnie does. Ultimately my point stands: fighters leave trainers for a variety of reasons and it does cause upset on both sides that can, in some cases, last for a long time. You've just got to try and get on with it. but it's not always easy.
That's true enough I suppose, I would too. The comments from each of them weren't exactly like for like though, one a slight dig, the other an onslaught.

Whatever, as far as I know Arnie ain't my Dad so I'll leave them to tango in peace. :TU:

I always enjoy watching a Brian Hughes fighter. Blagger or no blagger, his boys are always well schooled.

Football players leave their managers with much respect left behind. Why is it when a boxer leaves it is such a big deal and always thought of as a personal insult? In boxing, there is a very short window of opportunity to make a good living out of the sport, and only one mistake can change your whole life. If things ain't going your way you need to think of #1!

it matters not if a comment is someones 5th post or someones 5000th post, everyone has a right to opinion and all posters are welcome. how do we know how long someone has been perusing posts and threads on here, some people could watch for years and never post, it does not make their opinions less valid.

Rhino, you of all people will have seen over the years how people with an agenda pop up regarding one specific topic and then disappear into the ether again. They often spew bile, remain completely opposed to any contrasting viewpoint and don't add any value to the forum at all. I think those that fall into this category (as opposed to those that are technically 'newbies' but whose views are just as valid as anyone's), do have less validity.

Of course it doesn't matter in most cases, but there are lots of examples of people popping up out of no where with a clear agenda and for no purpose other than to have a dig at someone on here. In some cases it may be an existing poster not brave enough to post under his own name, or perhaps to ensure someone agrees with him. Ignore it if you like, but it's a fact. I might go and create a new account myself and come back and post here, I could use the support

brian hughes is a top trainer.....farnell had the pick of warren's prospects and (apart from his strange comments at press conferences) has done nothing as a trainer......he should show brian hughes some respect
Personally I think Trainers should not be getting involved with slagging off other peoples fighters to which Arnie does quite a lot, his fighters are the greatest whilst others are rubbish, he also has had all the best prospects handed to him at the begining of his career, so he has never built a fighter from nothing like other trainers, then losing them is not a good sign, I believe he does work hard with his fighters and has a real will to win no matter if it is Sparring or fighting, but in the corner does seem to have trouble when things are going wrong and some of his fighters don't seem to listen to him in the corner, also gets involved in a lot of bad mouthing at press conferences too much, thus putting too much pressure on his fighters i.e Frankie Gavin V Woodhouse Did it really help Frankies cause ? More like stir up Woodhouse, who put on his best performance of his career. Arnie needs to be a biit more humble his approach and focas more on learning his trade.

Damien is that all you have got seriously? I promised myself I wouldn't reply to your feeble messages but this is just below the belt. No I am not an admirer of your father and that is no secret but to wish him dead is a bit dramatic and certainly not true. I wouldn't wish anyone dead.
You say I personal messaged you this year so why havent you brought it up before - If someone personal messaged me wishing my family dead I would have responded immediately. You didn't because you are lying and the only way you can blacken my name is to tell more lies. Reply as much as you want but I'm not playing anymore :shame:

thanks for your advice on forum etiquette....it's ok for farnell to badmouth curtis woodhouse and brian hughes because he's posted on here a long time.....
as for arnie doing fine .... do you think warren will send him anymore prospects?

With all due respect, I'm not that bothered what you believe.

I do still have the PM saved and it was sent to the moderators shortly after it was received. They dealt with the matter on here. Contact them if you really want any more info. Given the nature of the post, I also showed it to the police who advised me to keep it for my records. Given the personal nature and references of the post, it is not something that I would wish to post on here and add further fuel to. Antony Farnell can protest all he likes. It came from his account.

Finally, it was consistent with an earlier post that was posted - and swiftly removed - by the moderators by a then-member of Farnell's camp which alleged that abuse of young men was taking place at the Collyhurst camp. When he talks about hitting below the belt, the irony is palpable.

I don't want to post any more on this matter as I have said my piece. I made my comments in response to Farnell's unnecessary and childish jibe about a member of my family. I have now justified why I did so. Now, please can we get back on the topic...
well noone on here believes you and we take arnies side. arnie has challenged you to show proof which you havent and won't so the neutral observer has to side with arnie here until proven otherwise and i believe you are being overly dramatic and that arnie didnt do that

I think this topic was started on Gavin splits from Farnell You only have to look at this interview to know Arnies feelings I was with him in the gym yesterday and he is very passionate about his fighters and all credit to Arnie he said his true feelings about Frankie Never slagged him off and will ALWAYS support Frankie no matter what Thats why i did the interview with him because i knew deep down Arnie and Frankie re good friends
