Indeed. Jim's squeaky over-reaction to the stoppage didn't help either. I find I watch most fights with the mute button on, so I can make my own mind up about who is winning.

Anyone know what the scores were at the time of stoppage
McCloskey was up by 1,2 and 4 rounds

Thank God Corley stopped him and we didn't get another rip off like the Prescott decision.
I will never comprehend how the judges had McCloskey winning that bout.

I do think the commentary affected how I saw this one. Sky were definitely being really biased and I couldn't help but be pulled into their way of seeing it, however having rewatched the fight I think Corley was winning by a couple of rounds at the time of the stoppage on any sensible card! How workrate was too low to take some of the later rounds and that's where McClosky started picking up rounds, but to have him ahead on all scorecards and one by 4 rounds, that's just shocking.

Spot on: he lost clearly against Prescott and he was losing this one, too.

Agreed. Like other posters have mentioned, the reality is that McCloskey is top domestic class with a view to competing well at Euro level, and that's absolutely fine and a great achievement. The problem is you can always rely on Matchroom to blur reality and sell to the gullible.
