I have actually seen Teddy and Southpaw and Dominic Ingle fight.it doesn't take a genius to work out who Teddy is with perfect straight 0 and19 and a conviction/jailtime for stalking.
Southpaw actually had a better record and although several weight divisions lighter he would have probably taken Teddy to school in a fight.
As for Dominic Ingle I don't think he boxed pro or semi pro but had a few amateur fights.Looks like he can handle himself but being built doesn't naturally mean he can.Looks any one who fancies a pop at him is going to have to get in line behind Michael Hunter and Teddy lol
Maybe we could start a new thread on who would like to chin him ,maybe get him involved .
Turn it into a charity event and show it on allegedly.

I sparred with Chris Price regularly over at Brendan's and it's a bit silly to suggest he would have "taken me to school". As for bringing up me going to jail, what you won't know is that everyone who knew about it but knew me was aware that I suffered a miscarriage of justice. I challenged the allegations in court, lost, and had to grit my teeth. I'm not the first and won't be the last. What I learned from it is that the police are not to be trusted or relied upon. Since that time the local police haven't left me alone and I've been taken to court every year for the last eleven. I've been acquitted (found not guilty) fourteen times over this period, had seven charges brought against me dropped or discontinued, and received thousands of pounds in compensation from the police. I wasn't convicted of "stalking", but harassment (you can be charged with this offence if someone alleges you have said something on two seperate occasions which they have heard and they claim causes them "alarm or distress"), an easy allegation to make against someone, but hard to disprove if it comes down to your word against another's, which is the situation I found myself in. Ironically the Independent Police Complaints Commission ended up ordering the local force to investigate my complaint that they have been harassing me for the best part of a decade (yes the police get to "investigate" themselves). That's a cheap shot Sexy Southpaw and maybe you'll have the bollocks to let me know who you are. I'm not interested in having a pop at Dominic, as I said to Chris in my post above, I spoke with him a year or two ago and anything I wanted to say I said then. P.m me if you don't want others on the forum knowing who you are.

Robert......i was there when you had your barney with Dominic and at no point did he threaten to knock you out...im happy you dont hold any grudges,the would would be a better place with people like you,but why post something like that on he if you didnt want any negative comments.im glad your well Robert i work in Meadowhall now pm me the next time your there and we can have a chat....ps i used to take loads of people to school sparring....just wished i would have done it when i boxed...

I havent boxed a day in my life but no doubt my southpaw stance would cause both of you problems!

You have to have had a fight to be in danger of losing one.

The first fight I got disqualified from was against Kev Burton (Dominic was in my corner). I only found out I was boxing the same afternoon of the fight. The ref was at me from the off telling me to lift my hands up as I used to move about with them by my sides. Toward the end of the fourth round he grabbed my arm and declared that I wasn't trying hard enough and disqualified me. The promoter still paid me though, but I was fined by the central area BBBC (I was described by one member of the board as a poor man's Muhammad Ali DD ). My second disqualification happened in the last round. My opponent was leaning on me and I pushed him into the ropes with my shoulder. It was changed to a no contest because we both got thrown out for hitting after the bell at the end of the third round. John Rushton (whose show it was) said the ref should have let it go on as the fight was just warming up and he'd seen far worse infringements without boxers getting themselves disqualified. The last time I got disqualifed was a fight I took on the same day's notice. I hadn't been to the gym at all because I assumed I was going to get banned from boxing. The kid I was boxing had been stopped in nearly every fight he had. I put him down in the first round with a body shot, he was down for the count but claimed to the ref it was a low blow (which it wasn't), so the ref let the fight go on. In the second round I caught him with a left hook on his chin and he staggered into the ropes. I stepped in and he grabbed me and tried to push my head down so I threw a left and a right to his stomach. He clutched his groin area and claimed he'd been hit low again, so the ref threw me out. I had made an appearance in the national press by this point ( the Daily Star had christened me "King of the Canvas" ) and the ref had brought a clipping to the fight so he might have had it in for me. I definitely thought I would be banned after this so again did no training . I had my last fight with Craig Winter at short notice (two days). The ref stopped the fight at the end of the fifth round and the official reason was for "non-participation". I had to box southpaw because I had broken my left hand five days before ,but didn't say anything because I needed the purse money. I lost a fair few of my fights by half a point and I think I should have won six or seven of them (but then I would say that), and I took a lot of them at very short notice. Barry Mcguigan watched me box once in a fight I lost by half a point and said he thought I had won handily. I enjoyed my time boxing and don't give a damn what people have to say about my record.

Who were the best you boxed mate? Most skilful, hardest puncher etc? Did any surprise you in terms of not doing as well in their career as you expected or vice versa?

I have to say that I know Teddy and have never watched him box;(I wanted to get the bout of him v Michael Bowen which was shown on SKY; can't get it anywhere!) I also know that he rarely bears grudges (and not for a personal slight). He may have a poor win/loss record as a boxer BUT kept doing what he enjoyed, he entertained and did not get hurt and has some good stories to tell; in a tough sport that he got into as he wanted to get fit/shift a cople of pounds, he kept his marbles, made some good friends and earned enough to keep him going. No mean feat.

Andy Mcveigh had a good K.O win over Neil Simpson in the next fight he had after he had boxed me (I think it was included on Skysports knockouts of the year). I put him over in the first round and was making him miss throughout the fight but had run out of steam by the fifth and was stopped on my feet. I was boxing on the same show as him when he boxed John Duckworth. John and I were in the same changing room and I advised him on what to expect and what would be effective tactics. I spoke with Andy afterwards (their fight ended in a draw) and he said he felt he had lost. I spoke with Pat Cowdell at a show some time later (Pat was in Andy's corner when I boxed him) and he said Andy had just drifted away from the sport after his fight with John Duckworth, which he thought was a real shame as he felt Andy had real potential.
Lee Blundell was a decent fighter, but his result against me may have flatterd him slightly as I had never sparred or boxed a southpaw in my life. I had only had a handful of amateur fights before I turned pro and at the time I boxed Lee I was managed by Howard Hayes and training in a tiny cellar under a small pub and had not sparred at all for a couple of months as the only other boxer at the gym was Terrence Gaskin (a featherweight). Lee couldn't miss me with his southpaw left and I was stopped on my feet in the second round.
Michael Bowen was an impressive physical specimen and hit me the hardest out of all of my opponents, but I managed to stay upright and last the distance (I was boxing for Brendan Ingle at this point and had taken this fight at twenty four hours notice). I believe he struggled with hand injuries but had been tipped for big things (he was a cousin of Nigel Benn I believe).

You don't bring any beer around here for the Haye v Chsora bout and you'll see who hits you the hardest
