Think I remember Mugabi had a broken orbital bone; no chance of carrying on.Goz wrote:Recall Mugabi getting done by Duane Thomas, claiming (possibly legitimately) a thumb in the eye.
But I still remember being amazed at the way Mugabi cried off having seen him last standing up to Hagler.
ITV Fight Night In The 80s

Re: ITV Fight Night In The 80s
Wow was boxing ever better on TV than the 80's and 90's ITV and BBC coverage? Nice trip down memory lane. Fight Night was great, good to see small hall shows on TV, would love to see some of the mid-80's stuff again. Loved watching Kostas Petrou, Brian Schumacher (his early fight with Johnny Nelson), Cowdell, Daho, Havard and the British Super Fearherweight Jinx (had all those title fights somewhere) that series of fights started on Fight Night, remember Pat Cowdell avenging his defeat against Daho, top fighter Pat one of my favourites. Reg and Harry commentating was never better, read Reg Gutteridge' autobiography and that's a good read. Anyone know where I can get any early Fight Nights shows from?
