Jesus christ almighty! I had Donaire winning ONE round. Most of the time he couldnt lay a glove on Rigo.
In my defence i did get up at god knows o'clock to watch the fight and had the colonel banging on in my ear about how donaire had won the round. I also just tallied up the score in my head so my maths abilities werent at their most potent.
When i rewatched the fight i had rigo up 1 round and had pretty much the same score as 2 of the judges and Bradley, i cant see where most of you are coming from with the rigo boxed his head off talk, he outclassed him in terms defensive ability and handspeed and made him look sloppy. It was 85 punches landed to 129 and the last round was one way traffic with rigo throwing a hell of a lot of punches and missing with absolutely nothing where as donaire didnt land a thing so in reality the punch tally (bar the last round and also a couple of the other rounds, like the 1st and one of the others where nonito lost the exchange and rigo unloaded) in the other rounds could only have been close and donito got a 10-8 in the 10th. I always score an even round to the aggressor anyway and i dont think two or 3 scuffing and barely touching punches match a decent body shot.
I'd actually like to see a rematch because i think Donaire has no choice but to go out all guns blazing and try and get the ko, and i think rigo will fancy stepping up the pace and stopping him as letting his hands go was very successful in the last round.
