Why have Povetkin and Haye held belts in the last 2 years then?

Fury must be kicking himself for not taking the Price fight when he had the chance. Price is obviously not good enough at world level and Fury could have got all the credit for proving that. Now beating Price would prove nothing. What a missed chance.

But don't forget when Price was Tyson's mandatory and the fight was being talked about it was before Fury had switched trainers to Peter Fury. At that time he was not in the best of shape and was eating his fair share of right hand against the likes of Pajkic and Firtha. It's impossible to say what would have happened if they had fought then, Fury could well have come unstuck first. Fury's management have made the right decisions so far in terms of matchmaking imo.

Saw Price in some of his earlier fights and he was good going forward but there seemed to be an air of vulnerability about him. Plus for such a big bloke was surprised how spindly his legs were. Shame, seems a decent guy. Also, he's been matched tough all of a sudden after a really low key start to his career. Thompson's not the best but he's no mug and has a lot of experience. But two defeats against a guy who was totally dominated by Klitschko pretty much shows Price is not ready for this level.. and I don't think he ever will be. Going to take a hell of a lot to build him back up now. While Fury's not the best in the world, he's been matched and been through some shaky periods in fights and came back. Price never had to and when the time came he didn't have it battle through the test when it came.

Absolutely, he actually outlanded Klitschko through 11 rounds before being stopped.

Yeah, he must be really down having a bout with Haye coming up in September; if he beats haye then he's at the very top to shout for a shot; if he loses he can have a go with Price. I bet he's in bits.

Yeah I meant in the last fight and still if you're losing fights to Tony Thompson back-to-back by KO, you're not on your way to beating a Klitschko are you? Like I said saw a couple of early Price fights and just wasn't that impressed to be honest.
