Jamie I think you will find Ronnie actually approached Alex the day before he signed with Gilmour, however Alex never got back to him immediately hence he signed next day for Gilmour.

Billy its like buying a new car the way Ronnie approached the situation. He spoke to Tommy and Alex and a few others to see what they think etc and what they could offer him. Ronnie likes Alex as far as im aware but alex never followed up the interest which part you stated is true:) Just seems like boxing is full of empty promises. He hasnt asked for a world title fight he asked to fight regular and progress to not fighting a journeyman. Could Alex offer that? Alex has managed Ricky superb but his other fighters only fight when Ricky fights and thats not what Ronnie needs but hey can Tommy deliver that? I really dont think so either:) Ronnie will do his own thing and to be honest I wanted him to go with a promotor down south like Coldwell or Goodwin as they seem to be keeping fighters active, whereas Ronnie is fighting on dinner shows which in truth he will fight a journeyman every time :)

Yes the fighter will get exposure on sky and fight on Alex other shows or fight on dinner shows or shows were 300 folk turn up

Alex hadn't been promoting shows billy till recently in Kilmarnock really and last show I went to was gorbals with Alex wasn't that busy. Also there was nothing saying ronnie was going to b fighting on sky either . Not all Morrison fighters do like Alex whyte Ryan Collins etc don't:) I have not spoke to ronnie in detail but he's kinda not going forward. Needs to step up a level wether he wins or not kinda pointless the fights he's been lined up with:)

Wasn't referring to them two however there the best of a bad bunch Hughes doesn't belong at lightweight and truscott derry would stop inside 5 thats my opinion an don't mean to disrespect any boxer got 100% respect for anyone who steps between the ropes whether its your kristian laights or mayweather hardest sport out there all i was stating was it wasn't a smoke screen for anything i believe derry would box anyone

Billy the show at the Gorbals was not packed. We were their. There was no atmosphere and he put Ronnie on 2nd or 3rd and that's where the atmosphere was!! Common Sense you have a big support you put them on near the end!! We all walked out during the White v Al Hamidi fight as we weren't enjoying the show but in saying that it was better than the one on Friday I'm sorry to say.. Billy as for Ronnie's choice between Tommy and Alex I am with Jamie I actually thought he may be better staying with Tony than these 2.. I didn't know much about Tommy and didn't see how he could take Ronnie any further than Tony and Alex has a bundle of fighters he can't get on sky so he would also struggle to keep him active.. I believe he should of went down South he's a big talent who could end up having it wasted..

I beleive if Ronnie had a bit more patience and lets face it with the amount of managers he's had in his 10 fights (4 managers) lol his patience is short, if he'd waited on AM getting back to him I'm positive he'd have had a title shot by now, instead of wasting his time doing an exhibition.
I think you will find Brophy ans Simmons were by far the biggest ticket sellers at the Gorbals that's why they were on at the end, Ronnie was but on early because he and his opponent weren't promoted by AM or that's what I think anyway

also Dave unlike his previous managers TG won't just let him leave and we both know the score mate

We are talking about another show obviously Billy. Neither Simmons or Brophy were fighting. Was 12/5/2012 I think.. Ronnie's has so many managers as they can't seem to deliver for whatever reason. He only had 3 because Tony Lindie twice.. I think from Tony's point of view he has done his best he put everything into Ronnie and deserves credit as he worked very hard. Problem was he was struggling to keep going at times and was a bit out of his depth especially as a new manager. As for yourself. You couldn't get fights.. People genuinely refuse to fight when they hear it's Ronnie you seen this first hand. I don't think you could of got him the fights he needed and again that's not your fault I have been with Tony when managers have said if it's Ronnie Clark then it's a no.. As for Tommy it's early days not so good so far.. He delivered a commonwealth title for Limond.. I believe he has now realised how hard it is to match Ronnie and until Ronnie gets these titles it's going to be very hard unless he was with Warren or Hearn. Which in honesty I've been shocked neither have tried to sign him. People think I'm biased because he's my brother but end of the day I'm critical just like any other fan out there.

There have been other boxers who improve with a bit of seasoning though; if he's willing to get in with good lads then it shows something; not every top level boxer is above everyone else all the time. He may benefit from a move to England with more sparring, more shows and better connected people (no offence intended to the Scottish contingent). I've not seen the lad box but Scotland seems a small pond; there'll be more competitive sparring and quality boxers in Manchester, Yorkshire, Birmingham or London though the deep fried mars bars are harder to find

He fought both on a few days notice.. Ryan Walsh isn't title level? He caused Selby nightmares probably the hardest fight he has has and Selby is closing in on world class. In most neutrals eyes Ronnie won both fights so really if he can do that on a few days notice what will he do with a proper training camp? What he brings isn't just how good he is.. If anyone gets a chance they should watch him he is very exciting to watch..hits hard and can take it back.. Been a lot of doubters changed there mind about Ronnie after seeing him fight!!

I know someone who was paying TG long after he had left. He wasn't releasing him for anyone, and this kid wasn't as good as Ronnie.

That was proberbly a decision made by the board they can tell a fighter they can be released as long as they pay the manager they want to leave a percentage for the remainder of the contract.
