You're less than 200 pounds away from 1,000 pound total in just two of the three powerlifts! That's great man! What's your squat looking like?
I worked up to 405 today but something was a little wonky with my shoulder. I dropped down and repped out at 225...got 40!
My squats ent so good , When do do squats 140kg for 5 maybe ?
I am gonna sound boring now but i am scared of my legs getting any bigger , my legs naturally are like tree trunks from running an MTbing etc ..but i guess if i did legs more i know i could get stronger .
Now tell garry he should be doing them

So that's probably about a 350 squat...put your total just under 1200 which is really good! What's you body weight?
Tomasino wrote:Your deadlift would go sky high if you squatted regular, you probably bench what u squat and you don't like bench either

mad! I'm squatting 185kg @ 78kg body weight
Well done on bench PB watched your video.
That's a really good squat for your weight!
Dang guys, we may need to start a boxrec powerlifting team

We are just about the same weight then I believe. I weighed 245 pounds last week.
I BADLY rolled my ankle yesterday, so unfortunately squats are on hold...I also had a session with an Olympic lifting coach on Friday I'm gonna need to push back. Such is life. I can still train upper body

I know that feeling all too well. My body handles this weight pretty well...but I didn't like weighing 255. It was awesome in the gym for 3 hours per day, but the remaining 21 hours were not as enjoyable.
But there's a time and a place for everything, nothing wrong with beefing up a bit to gain some serious strength.

Regulation bench: check.
Strongman log: check.
Customizing weight room: *almost* check.
Stones: check.
Perfect start to 2015. CHECK!
Hopefully get a pic up soon of the new layout!
Deload day yesterday, worked up to 390. A little harder than usual, but just my body telling me to take a step back.

Currently sticking with the 4x20 bench as you mentioned above punchout. Loving it. Ticking over nicely but started to feel a bit of strain during the last session on Monday. Doing it twice a week at the moment, "chucking" it in with squats too so I am feeling fvcked after but all good!
Currently at 77.5kg. I will hit the 100kgs an then see where it takes me regarding pbs etc

Awesome

I was able to keep twice a week up for a good six months...then I had to drop to a single session, but only for a little while.

A little pricey, but Rogue's stuff is always good.
http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_ ... nal+plates
I don't know if buying from the US is an option (shipping might kill you) but Ader Fitness is decent.
They will help you BIG TIME

Cigano, you look like a fricken BEAST, dude!! Impressive lifts, impressive beard, impressive work!
I'm heading in to work log presses for the first time in about seven months...wish me luck, I'd love to hit 200 pounds today.
*Edit: Just watched your latest deadlift too...that looked too easy big dude!! The one thing I'd recommend; drop your hips just a little before your initial pull. You started a bit high and that's why you momentarily got stuck in the middle. Still, awesome lift! What's your DL goal?

Your right mate, my deadlift form needs looking at, due to my form i think the 240kg PB i have at the mo is as far as i can go without risking injury ,after than 240kg it was the first time my back felt like as bad it did next day .
I am planning on starting from scratch in the next few weeks ,going lighter and concentrating on my form , i will try abounding the little run up i do, god only knows why i started doing that ?

It's definitely not bad, you'll just get a little more from it if you can get your hips just a little lower before the initial pull.
It's also a great idea to drop back a bit. My form was almost EXACTLY like yours. I dropped back and fixed it, but then wound up screwing up my knees this summer (work related, not exercise) and recently when I tried my form was screwed again. Back to the drawing board!
Gonna try and bench 3-4 times this week. Worked up to easy 315 today. I will push it more next time.

Bench 3-4 times a week ? wow

..dont know wether my old joints/chest would recover in-between
I had a banging good day on bench on Monday just gone, strongest i eva been , warm up 60kg x10reps then 100kg x10reps , then working sets for 130k x8reps ,140kg x 5reps,150kg x 2reps ...i then went for 155kg but failed it by about half a rep witch surprised me as i didn't even think i would of been anywhere near getting it, especially after the body of high reps i did on high weight matching all my PBs in one session .
I have nothing but confidence now that if i have a low rep day on the way up , say 100kg x10 then single rep sets afterward i can hit my goal of 155kg maybe 160kg even ?
Let you know this monday coming

3 second pause 365 today.
455 with my slingshot.
475 with my shirt.
I'm up to about 410 RAW, but touch and go rather than competition style with a pause.
I'm hoping to hit 385-400 for my third lift in my meet on March 13. Still have 4 pounds to lose as well.
