You're not Froch's brother are you?[/quote]

You fell out of Carls arse
The ruling body has said he is entitled to a rematch as the stoppage was unjust, Groves was jobbed - the crowd knew it and the majority of viewers knew it.Boxing Prospect wrote:He may bring more than 15% of the ATTENTION but what else does he bring with him?
A loss to Froch in the first fight

And a rematch is exactly what he has got....palooka wrote:The ruling body has said he is entitled to a rematch as the stoppage was unjust, Groves was jobbed - the crowd knew it and the majority of viewers knew it.Boxing Prospect wrote:He may bring more than 15% of the ATTENTION but what else does he bring with him?

I can appreciate you dislike Froch, but why would you support Groves ?palooka wrote:I can appreciate that you're a friend and big supporter of Froch; do you have any balanced view of Groves or because Froch 'hates' him do you have to too?
Do you really believe that Groves is afraid of Froch and is trying to get out of a rematch?
A professional fighter fights for money - Groves would be a mug if he boxed for less than he could get. I think that Groves feels hard done by and would be confident in a rematch - his camp was more unsettled than Carls.G0mez wrote:I can appreciate you dislike Froch, but why would you support Groves ?palooka wrote:I can appreciate that you're a friend and big supporter of Froch; do you have any balanced view of Groves or because Froch 'hates' him do you have to too?

Do you really believe Froch is scared of anyone, and do you really believe Groves only wants the rematch? (nothing to do with money)
Do you work for less than the going rate or do you try to get the best pay that you can?mullenman wrote:I did feel that the only thing groves wanted was the rematch ( but I was wrong)
Groves is greedy and under it all it was all about the money
I would not be surprised the reason he split with Adam Booth was over money as well..
I did like groves but now I hope the cobra knocks him out this time
Thats fine, but all he wanted was the rematch....he has it, so take it.palooka wrote:Do you work for less than the going rate or do you try to get the best pay that you can?mullenman wrote:I did feel that the only thing groves wanted was the rematch ( but I was wrong)

If this was the other way round I get the feeling Froch would be lambasted for not snapping at the re-match whatever the deal. It isn't like he's going to be fighting for pittance. He harped on and on about the rematch that he was entitled to saying the belts were "rightfully his" and now he's been given the chance to beat Froch and take a step further to becoming a superstar earning big bucks yet he wants more!
There may be other promoters that would put a rematch on and pay Groves more, Hearn is Frochs man.Crazyboy wrote:Thats fine, but all he wanted was the rematch....he has it, so take it.palooka wrote:Do you work for less than the going rate or do you try to get the best pay that you can?mullenman wrote:I did feel that the only thing groves wanted was the rematch ( but I was wrong)

I wouldn't personally say it's a joke as it would be the same for any other challenger ranked 6th. Fair enough the stoppage was harsh but it did look like Froch was coming back into the fight strongly so George's comment about the belts being "rightfully his" when he was on the decline is bollocks. Froch is champion, Froch has a stoppage win over him, take the fight, beat him if he's so confident, move on, earn big money. 15% is a joke offer i think ,plus if there's option on his next few fights i guess groves doesn't want to sign himself away .
He's trying to get a better rate of pay for the job at hand - Groves knows from the first fight that defeat can be pulled from the jaws of victory (by a ref having a bad night).danamba7 wrote:I wouldn't personally say it's a joke as it would be the same for any other challenger ranked 6th. Also if he'd said from the start that he of course wants the re-match but only if the money is right then fair play but instead he's forced the matter, accused Froch of running scared and then appeals when he gets what we thought he wanted, a chance to avenge his only defeat.
i understand that groves now can't scream that he's being side stepped but i do think he should get at least 25/30 % of the purse ,i'm sure bruno got more than 15% fight lennox as they were both big draws even thou lewis had the belt .danamba7 wrote:I wouldn't personally say it's a joke as it would be the same for any other challenger ranked 6th.
