No it doesn't but the point still remains that George has stamina issues and it isn't going to get better the older he gets is it?

A boxer can improve their stamina; Groves is 25 years old FFS; and people are imagining that Froch at 36 can improve more?

Froch must have worries about this fight he didn't want it and he got outboxed and out gunned in the first fight and for a man that lives off his toughness to get dropped like that in the 1st will of dented frochs confidence a lot he knows now that groves can ko him where as he never floored groves himself .Groves is mentally stronger than froch and i think we will see a slightly scared froch in this fight just like the last fight were froch seemed to be hiding in his corner before the fight with groves acting as the confident champion .
groves wins inside the distance and froch will retire .
Do you know Froch? i only ask because you are assuming you know all the above as a fact, for instance, 'Groves is mentally stronger than Froch'.....how do you know?
Also, you say he didn't want it? How do you know?

I know he is 25 FFS. The assumption is he carries on the way he does, if he does then no his stamina won't get any better. I don't for one minute think Froch improves so I'm not one of those people.

I can only imagine that Groves and his trainer will cover all bases and do enough to work that if the bout does go into the later rounds Groves can hold his own; there are many on here who seem to think that the first bout showed the very best of Groves and the very worst of Froch; I don't believe that and think that the older fighter will deteriorate and the younger one will improve; very good and solid champions come apart suddenly - all the wear and tear and the accumulation catches up - Groves has took maybe 20 hard punches in his career contests; Froch has had one easy bout since Pascal.

You're trying to reason with a guy who claimed Froch had no balls for 'not wanting the rematch' and was promptly shot down by most of the forum. I think most will agree that claiming Groves is 'mentally stronger' than Froch is a troll comment.

They are both very strong minded individuals - maybe that's part of the reason they dislike each other so.

Well I hope so Palooka because he could be a very formidable champ for the future. No one particularly likes road work etc but it's such a fantastic physcological tool to have in you make up. The knowledge that if I have to go 15 rounds at a good pace then I could as opposed to ' I know I can go 10 and then hang on'. I agree that Froch is on the wane for sure and Groves needs to take advantage now or he's only going to see another fighter do it and think 'what if'.

I do think that both boxers will prepare very professionally for this and I do think that Groves will attempt to disrupt Froch' equilibrium again by getting under his skin. Groves showed his mental strength by pretty much going it alone and playing the 'bad guy' to Froch 'national treasure'; if Groves neglects to build on his stamina then he may get caught out and will only have himself to blame - this will not be an easy fight for either of them, Froch is old but is still a bad ass.

I actually agree with George here - Groves is superior in the verbal sense without a doubt.
"I love having a little verbal spat with Carl because when he is threatened he spits out his dummy," he told Sky Sports' Ringside Toe 2 Toe podcast.
"He stops making sense, he starts contradicting himself and he starts relying on cliches and pre-rehearsed scripts.
"He's not proactive, he's not even reactive. He's just set in his ways and for him a verbal battle must be soul-destroying
Even after the fight Froch was firing the clichees. 'I was in the ring with a young gun slinger in there tonight' blah, blah, pretty cringy.

Anyone who thinks either man will have it all their own way is quite simply being biased to their favoured fighter.
This is a genuine 50/50 for me. Either man could be taken out early, late or win a points decision.
If I had to pick, I think Groves before half way as I think the first fight would have taken a lot out of Froch, and I don't think Froch or his team wanted the re-match, but I would be in no way surprised to see Froch win in a similar fashion.
