expe wrote:Good stoppage, Murray was just too big for Simpson, glad it finished early for John's sake, no prolonged beating, need to get him back down to Super Feather and rebuild, tonight shouldn't have taken too much out of him. But Murray looked fantastic tonight, very spiteful, looked like a man on a mission.

Outside Burns and Mitchell, John Murray beats every Lightweight in europe, hope he exposes Crolla or Tommy Coyle in his next fight

I thought that stoppage was fine. Every time Murray was getting through with a good body shot just about Simpson was going down. He went down 3 times in Round 2, I don't see Murray letting up on the body attack going into the 3rd with it being that effective.

Simpson wasn't going to make it out of the 3rd even if he'd been allowed to go on is the way it looked to me.
I agree that it didnt look like he was gonna survive but he was ok to continue. He's a tough guy Simpson.

That was a better stoppage than the one in the previous fight. Can't complain with that.

There were one or two naysaying John's chances when it was made saying he was shot to bits! :KO:

Simpson no match for Murray.

Murray is going to beat crolla and beyond so says Halling.

Pish. Crolla wins.

No you're right. Saying he had to earn his shot at Crolla. obviously knows full well what damage a on form Murray can do.

Crolla seems happy with taking it to be fair!

Was always a mismatch!! Why not put Simpson in with someone at Feather or Super Feather. Totally fed to the Wolves there!!

I think the matchmaker was watching Rios and Mitchell fights when picking him..

Not comfortable viewing watching a brave warrior like john Simpson struggle against big punching lightweights.
His team didn't learn the lessons from the Coyle defeat and they should have avoided this clash and dropped back down a weight.
As tough as he is this was another poor match up .
