Of course my family member lets me drink but I cant just be heading off and leaving them be. They're not really a drinker either so it wouldnt be much fun if I brought them along. Would I be able to drink as much as yourself and certain others? Na for sure I agree. Seriously not bullshitting. Im going to the fight but its with a family member and also im going via one of the coach packages so i wouldnt be getting there till a certain time.

I'll be there. Going with a big crowd, let me know where everyone is drinking if there is a boxrec congregation.

Since the cast of Eastenders have been given VIP tickets courtesy of Eddie and Adam Smith, maybe we could all have a meet up in the Queen Vic?

Funny you should say that. Just read that Prince Harry wanted to go but has been prevented because of security concerns.

Adam is a twat. Who cares what Andy Murray thinks, either? I bet Johnny can't believe his luck that Smith likes him.

That's not as bad as the first Froch v Groves fight. I had the cast of TOWIE sitting behind me with Kugan. Kugan is cool but the TOWIE buffoons/airheads did my head in!

You deserve a medal for that, I would have walked out or paid someone to swap seats. Don't see why they get freebies anyway, it was already a sellout and they hardly bring any glamour to the event, if you have to give free tickets away, give them to real celebrities with real talent, not people who are famous for being orange and having fake tits.

'Celebrities' don't have talent. That's why they are celebrities. Give freebies away by all means but as you say give them to people who at least have a talent and have achieved a bit of fame that way. Actors, musicians, athletes etc

The Independent
George Groves admits he was knocked out last week – by a telephone call from Australia. It came in the middle of the night and the voice on the end of the line was that of Nigel Benn, the former world champion, offering words of encouragement and advice for the 26-year-old Londoner before his repeat superfight showdown with Carl Froch at Wembley Stadium next Saturday night, a £20 million event that has become as much a happening as a fight.

"It kinda blew me away," Groves tells us. "I'd never spoken to or even met him before but as a schoolboy he was my favourite fighter – and my dad's. A real hero.

"He said: 'Just go out and do it. You were robbed the first time. Just do your stuff. Carl's there for the taking.' He also said a lot of stuff about him I'd rather not mention in giving me some useful tips.

"Since the last fight lots of people keep telling me how to beat Froch. But of all those who've spoken to me, from film stars to other fighters, what Nigel said meant most. After all he's been there and done it."

I'm pretty sure the TOWIE lot got free tickets because of Tony Sims, given that his son and daughter are in TOWIE.

Sky allocate some of the tickets as well so they've got beautiful people to rest the cameras on between rounds. They need all levels of "celebrity" to spice up the crowds. Any PO will tell you that they have to deal with pre-fight requests from stars. It's not a new thing, it's just that people can take to social media to vent their frustrations over something that's part and parcel of the business.

Regular fans might deserve those tickets more, due to previous purchases, but there's a reason why the so-called celebs get freebies, and it isn't just unique to this show.
Spot on, I've also heard about various so-called celebrities being turned down for such requests. They seem to think they have a divine right to sit in VIP seats purely because they are a Z list celeb.

I had a quick look for the bus tour as was tempted to go by coach and get pissed without the hassle of driving etc, however seats only available right at the damn back of wembley. Have a mate who went to see the FA cup final and he was sat right up in the gods at the back and said you could see feck all. The players were like tiny ants and you would not know anyone of them if you werent a fan.

So bollox ive paid the Sky PPV fee and ill watch it at home.

Don't know the outcome but I know Froch will win. Groves is going to be unlucky again.

It's not a good enough fight for him. And the sausage and chips aren't up to his standards at Wembley.
