they both look gun shy in the 10th until about the last 30 2nds.
Alvarado has no chance to win a decision. he needs to land some bombs
to have a chance

I think maybe marquez stole it in the last 30 2nds
98-89 marquez

Round 10

Marquez is doubling his jab into Alvarado's face and catapulting in the right. Alvarado is circling, thumbs on his cheeks, looking for a space to land but tentative. Marquez forces him to open up, pressing in with punches in bunches, making Alvarado desperately roll out right hands and keep moving.

10-9 Marquez

98-90 Marquez

marquez v provo would be scary

looked like marquez touched the canvas with his gloves but replay looks
like he kept his balance.
marquez was a little busier and won the 11th

Round 11

Double hook by Alvarado. Marquez ducks and falls away. Sharp 1-2s by Marquez. Alvarado is jabbing over the head, lowering his plane of attack and brushing Marquez's hair with the second jab. Marquez is moving in and out and firing straight. Chopping right by Alvarado, doubled up, Marquez squatting low and nearly touching a glove on the canvas. Pat Russell correctly rules it not to be a knockdown. Marquez regroups and finishes strong with combinations after regaining his balance.

10-9 Marquez

108-99 Marquez

Round 12

Marquez is waiting, jabbing when Alvarado comes near, jerking back from Alvarado's jab and snapping forward with another counter jab before sloughing off to his left. Marquez is scoring the double jab going left. Big sweeping hooks by Alvarado with both hands, ducked as Marquez folds himself over and pushes off Alvarado's waist. Marquez is waiting, tempting Alvarado from mid-range, fading out to either side and jabbing when Alvarado comes rumbling down on him. Right hand, left hook, right hand by Marquez stepping in, then out. Hard jab by Alvarado, pitching forward off balance. Jabs traded as Marquez circles left. Right uppercut on the eye by Alvarado while Marquez is ducking low in front of him. Straight combo up top by Marquez. Hook by Alvarado. BIG COUNTER RIGHT by Marquez.

10-9 Marquez

118-108 Marquez

Roy Jones "It's not the size of the dog in the fight its' the size of the fight in the dog"

"He needs to get him in a dog fight"

"Alvarado needs to get Marquez in a dog fight"

3 mentions of Dog fights tonight alone. Dude loves his Dog fights....

There may be more than 3 tonight. That's just the 3 that I remember. I know I've heard him say it a lot of other times too.

I think it's the only fight that makes sense for Marquez in terms of money and prestige.

and the welter title he doesn't have. he could go through porter for the ibf but it's not likely.
