He ain't a coward at all.

He's been beaten though, mind you he stopped Big John in the rematch so he put that right.

I do think Haye would of beaten Fury but If Tyson could of walked him down like he did Cunningham without eating too much firepower on the way in he might of been ok.

Agree, no one could ever say he is a coward, in my opinion however he is just not that good.

I genuinely fail to see anything great in Tyson Fury.

I don't dislike the bloke at all, I don't know him, but I just don't think he is anywhere near the future of heavyweight boxing that some people seem to claim....not even close.

No doubt i'll get a select few shouting me down for that, but its just my opinion.

Anyway back to Haye, I was in Germany for the fight and I was completely let down by him (and the weather). yes he let us down that night in my opinion.

However, me and my missus went to watch him against Enzo at the 02 and I was blown away with how good he looked. he was destructive that night and everyone thought he was the bollox.

Boxing is strange at times.

There's a reason he fought at that weight (224) once, looked gassed and immediately started fighting at 210. It's far too much unnatural weight for him to carry. He's much, much better at 210.

That's because it was Enzo in the opposite corner instead of Wlad.

Because he looked sh!t in training and was worried his legacy was going to be ruined by losing to the big fella? Trust me, Tyson was ready.
Heard the same as mickey.

I agree, I can never see why people rave about Fury. For someone 6'9" and between 17.5 and 19.5 stone his power is pretty average and his chin is suspect. He has good hand speed and variety of punches plus his sheer size and weight make him an awkward opponent but Haye would've finished him inside 4 rounds in my opinion.

You only have to look at the best people he has beat, a career heaviest and out of shape Chisora (PTS) and Fury looked worn out in parts, Kevin Johnson (PTS) and a 35 year old light-punching blown up cruiserweight Cunningham who was outweighed by 35lb and still managed to put Fury on the floor.

Which boxers 6' 9" or over have been bigger punchers than Tyson Fury?

He lost on my scorecard and the shorter Wladimir beat him with ease.

I meant for someone so big he cannot punch as hard as people seem to think he can, his record attests to that as well. I disagree the Chisora result wasn't that great, Chisora was knackered after a few rounds and even then took Fury the distance, a world class puncher should've stopped him.

Men as big as Fury are rarely huge punchers. Fury is not a light hitter for a man of his height.

Fury hits harder than a lot of people on here keep suggesting. He has underrated power.

Neither Vitali nor Helenius could stop Chisora.

Fury has stopped enough fighters to show that he has solid punching power. Fury can punch about as hard as most of the other world level heavyweights.

He has average power, 16 stoppages in 22 wins isn't anything spectacular considering most of his opponents have been crap. Nothing he has done suggests he hits especially hard. Chisora was in the worst shape of his career against Fury, the heaviest he has ever been to this day. Chisora is a durable guy and was in good shape for Vitali and was up for the fight, 20lbs lighter than he was against Fury. He looked liked he had no interest and hadn't prepared against Fury and still went the distance even though at points he was leaning against the ropes gasping for air. Fury shouldv'e stopped Chisora, Vitali would have if he was in that condition for their fight and Haye knocked out a fit Chisora.

You didn't answer the previous question I posed below, maybe you missed it.

Who has suggested that Fury's power is spectacular? Which active heavyweights do hit especially hard? Give me a long list.

We don't know what would have happened if fat Chisora had fought Vitali. Haye knocked Chisora out, so what? Haye hits very hard. Who on here claims Fury hits harder than Haye?

Can you remember Setanta collapsing in 2009 around the time of the scheduled Klitschko fight? Haye probably wanted to get paid for that fight. That's a good reason to pull out.

Fury wanted to fight him and then unsurprisingly Haye pulled out of the uninteresting Charr fight and chose not to reschedule it for later. Getting paid more for fighting a more appealing opponent is good motivation to not bother with Charr.

Do you really not think Haye might have been fibbing about his injuries that caused him pull out of the Klitschko and Charr fights?

Horse I said Fury had average power, that is my assessment of him, I wasn't quoting anyone and I don't think the three wins against Chisora etc were anything to write home about. My point being I can't see why Haye would duck Fury with a fake injury because he was scared he was going to lose, as seems to be the common opinion. Nothing Fury has done suggests he would beat Haye and his lack of a world class punch and suspect chin would not be a major concern to Haye.

There is no doubt in my mind Haye would've beaten Charr so it makes no sense to pull out of that fight in May with weeks to go unless he had a good reason to, pulling out so he could fight Fury later on is a ridiculous claim. The fight with Fury wasn't scheduled until late September so Haye would've had time to prepare even if he fought Charr.

Did Haye and Vitali sign a contract to fight? I don't recall it ever happening, there was talk but no contract as far as I'm aware so how can he pull out of a fight that wasn't scheduled? If anything people claim Vitali ducked Haye around that time to fight Gomez, it was all talk.

Your point was Haye has somehow gained from pulling out of fights, I still fail to see what he has gained considering he hasn't fought for two years and lost 2 pay days.

Do I think Haye feigned injury? No I don't.

I thought he pulled out of the fight with wlad with a bad back when setanta went tits up which he was signed for, then the klitschkos made a big fuss saying he pulled out of a fight with vitali as well to discredit him whenever they were asked about facing haye nbext, when haye had actually just taken a better deal for a fight with valuev and had never signed to fight vitali in the first place.

people that read Haye's book of the sparring partners he has destroyed will realise how good he was,,

he does annoy people get injured but as a Fury fan Hayemaker is two leagues above him and if he comes back to boxing is still in the top three heavyweights
