Does it count as ducking when you forego a domestic title in the expectation you will meet the same guy for bigger things and bigger money a bit down the line?

It would be hard to argue basic logic as you stated.
But this is a boxing site and logic usually goes out the window.

I didn't say it would have been easy. Any fight can be made. They just sometimes aren't.

Back when this fight was getting hyped up Price was knocking everyone out and Fury looked to shit it and vacate.... then Price got exposed by Tony Thompson and the win for Fury looked a possibility.
Before Price - Thompson 1 I was talking to Pricey's sponsors and they said "after he beats Tony we are fighting Chisora later in the year its all agreed we had dinner with Frank and Pricey a few nights ago".... as we all know he got wiped out and the Chisora fight was out the window.

Price has a punchers chance against pretty much all the heavyweights but Fury is proven over 12 rounds and as others have said, if Price gets hit he goes into panic mode and if he doesn't get Fury out of there in the first 4 - 5 rounds then Fury wins for me.

Before Price's losses, this was one of the biggest fights to be made in Britain. It would have sold out a stadium

What if Wlad, who I couldn't care less about, had dumped the WBO strap to expiate a Pulev fight? The world would say 'thank fack for that.' You'd be alone, with your arms folded, sniffing at Wlad, saying 'But he ducked Alex Leipei!'
