How widely do you think Dawson beat Hopkins? If that doesn't qualify as someone 'handily' beating Hopkins I don't think Hopkins handily beat Murat, Cloud, or Pascal.

7-5 or 8-4. I seem to think I had an even round in there at some point.
I thought Hopkins won 10 rounds against Cloud, 9 against Murat and I don't recall scoring the Pascal fights, though I know the ref blew at least one knockdown in favor of Hopkins in his win.

I think that your scoring was generous to Hopkins.
I thought Dawson won 9-3, whereas I thought Hopkins beat Murat and Pascal (in the rematch) 8-4. I had the Cloud fight 8-3-1 but I could see 8-4 too.

23 major boxing writers polled. 12 pick Hopkins, 11 pick Kovalev.

Hopkins leading in this poll too, as well as a poll on Boxing News's website. It doesn't seem to me like it will be too much of an upset if he wins.

A lot of that is based on his past glories though i'd imagine.

Bookies disagree, and they are usually right.

I have absolutely positively no idea what's gonna happen in this fight and I find that f'n fascinating.
I DONT EVEN HAVE TO BET ON IT TO BE SUPER INTRIGUED.

Thanks to you and ikrorolev .. for the line, I wouldn't bet on this fight if I was a gambler, too uncertain, the Walters Donaire fight was easy to pick though..

Judging by the poll I think either a hell of a lot of people are on drugs or they are sentimentalists. Whatever he does Hopkins ain't winning this fight.

Bernard is at +207 on Sportsbook... Not too bad seeing as how this could go either way.

Some of you guys have done a great job of making it look like Hopkins has a chance, now people need to put some damn money on Hopkins and get Kovalev odds longer.

Hopkins has been in with some elite caliber guys and has never been dominated. So, making an educated pick on history, it would be an uneducated pick to think Kovalev dominates or KOs Old Man Hops. I picked Kovalev. But, I'm not comfortable picking either, really. If Hopkins controls the pace, he will outpoint Kov. But I think Kov will set the tone and make it a rough and tumble affair outworking Hops to a decision

I hope Hopkins doesn't get seriously hurt in this fight.
Lose a decision or get KO'd whatever happens as long as the old man doesn't suffer a serious injury at the hands of Kovalev tonight.
Boxing doesn't need it, sometimes bad things happen in this sport that's just the way it is but if something happens to BHop tonight there will be more than the usual amount of do-gooders jumping on the opportunity to take the next step towards shutting down the sport.
If he wins that's great, if he loses that's great too but just go out on a loss not a tragedy.

Hopkins is smart enough to find a way to quit and avoid damage like he did in Dawson 1 fight.
