So, it is fight day. Currently the poll is showing 79% not buying, with only 21% buying.

Personally, instead of ordering, I'll be spending the 17 quid on some beers & listening to the fights on 5 Live.

Hopefully those not intending to buy will remain steadfast. The message really needs to get across to Hearn & Sky that these types of cards are unacceptable for PPV. A high buy-rate will simply legitimise the decision to make it PPV, and we'll see it happening on a much more regular basis.

Stay strong, brothers!

I can take the bint to the cinema for £30 or I can sit at home with the boxing and 12 beers for less than £30 I'll choose the latter

I'd rather it was free but I've paid £15 to Virgin and am looking forward to it. I can think of plenty worse things to splash £15 on - I think it costs more than that to watch a league 2 match at Dagenham.

I watched England vs Samoa in the rugby, and checked the results the next morning.

Be honest, how many people caved?

I paid for it because paying for it was just pushing a button on my remote and I would not notice financially if I bought it or didn't buy it. What I don't like about it is that PPV means less people overall are exposed to the sport, which only lessens interest further. At least in this case the main event was an embarrassment and the undercards complete mismatches so it was one the general public were probably better off without.

i refused to buy it and stuck to it... Came into work this morning and a few people (who are not huge boxing fans) bought it, mainly due to the way Sky had built it up during the week before the fight..... they all said it was sh*t and wont pay for it again!! :shame:

With the quality of streams available, and I must say it was probably the best quality stream I've watched in years, not a hope in hell of paying for it.
