I prefer him being an arse than a smiley faced, platitude spouting phony.

We know you do but you shouldn't model yourself on him.

I'm too honest to pretend that I'm not a massive tit.

fornicate off expe!
The man has travelled the world and competed against the best opponents his division has to offer and all you do is slag him off. You were probably still playing with action man when he won his first world title.
We get it, you dont like him, but the least you can do is show the man a little respect.

No he probably won't beat Ward, but at least he is willing to fight him, unlike alot of top fighters who get wrapped in cotton wool,
And he probably wouldn't have beaten Calzaghe either, but he went on to build a far more impressive record than Joe, despite no having the same skill level.

What have you ever done that gives you the right to constantly belittle his achievements?

We all have our opinions and very few posters on here have set the world on fire with our talent. Froch has forged an excellent career and a fortune and has done some admirable things and he's done and said things that haven't covered him in glory. I understand how his demeanour can put people off, I wanted Groves to beat him.

I really find it hard to see how anyone could belittle his achievements, his record speaks for itself, he's faced just about all the best available challengers and champs throughout his career, lost a couple, won most, and scored some spectacular come from behind victories in his time.

To start with, fornicate off to you too. :)

I respect him as a fighter, doesn't stop me thinking he's a cock.

I'd dispute that he has a better record than Calzaghe, but I really don't want to go into that one again, been done to death on here and every other forum on the internet.

Where have I belittled his achievements? I think he gets overrated at times and he'd be a lot more likeable if they taped his mouth shut, but for the ability he has, he's done brilliant and has gone further than most people ever thought he would, myself included.

He's not that bad, but he's a massive hypocrite, his ego is far too big and he's just cringeworthy in general, all the warrior, beautiful partner, beautiful family stuff. Saying Groves had been 'Cobrad' was just being a dick, how many other fighters can you imagine saying something like that?

Definitely a hypocrite but aren't we all! Just gets noticed more when you're saying things on tele! He can say some ridiculous things though, as a fan I just shake my head but get over it and look forward for the next victim to be cobra'd
