Do you have no compassion for Ruslan, do you want to see him end up punch drunk? There is no way Ruslan should fight Matthysse again, he took 3 fights worth of punishment tonight.

Yes, it will be great if he doesn't end up in a hospital.

Provodnikov if not retire definitely needs to take a lengthy time out, at least a full year. Or that Ward comparison will come true in a vengeance.

Anyone who considers himself that brats fan is a douch (whatever that is) already.

So where are these ppl who spoke about Chavezes heart power and chin?
Im here never been a huge fan of the kid but i can now say i overrated his heart and chin.

The kid needs to give it up he's only embarrassing himself at this point.

No

Ruslan is a tank and i give him huge props but he just took a fuucking beating from one of the hardest hitters in boxing.

Like mentioned he needs a looooong break poor guy is gonna have a huge headache come tmrw.

As for Lucas bring on that Mayweather/manny pay day.

Matthysse won the fight. 116 - 113 I had but for me it was clear. Sometimes you can argue close rounds but in this fight there's no argument Matthysse won it clear.

Yup as easy as a cakewalk could get.

Nice performance by Fonfara i honestly wouldn't mind seeing a rematch with Adonis if the kovalev fight cant get made.

I'd like to see Lucas fight Crawford next.

Is Lucas the best active fighter who hasn't won a world title?

He's got to be close. The Garcia, Peterson, Matthysse trilogy interests me, I honestly don't know which one of the three is the best.

Anywhere from a draw to a two-point win for either fighter was fine in this war, (Provodnikov-Matthysse)

I thought Lucus gave away his beautiful early rounds lead of jabbing and out-boxing Provodnikov. He let the Russian Rocky back into the fight. I almost had the same card as Lederman, except he gave a round to Lucus making his card 114-114. A round that I gave to Provodnikov for a 115-113 win. How could I call the fight for Ruslian when his face got fucked up like that? There was a swing round in there late that made the difference.

The early rounds were easy to score for Lucus, the later rounds went back and forth to each guy showing a tremendous war. I have no problem with anywhere from a draw to a 115-113 win for either boxer. This was that kind of fight.

It's a shame that either had to lose! Thanks HBO for this great war, that went the distance! Both guys need to rest for many months before their next fight. Very glad that neither got seriously hurt. Great boxing skills by Matthysse, great courage in an incredible rally down the stretch by Prodovnikov! The only things missing in this war were knockdowns!

And a great seemingly come from behind rally by Terrence Crawford in an awesome TKO tonight.

Matthysse won the fight close. Provodnikov needed to drop him late and he may have gotten the nod.

Provo should definitely take some time off, and he should consider retirement.

Exactly.

I see why lederman had it so close cuz its his job to favor the house fighter.

But as for the rest of the ppl that had it close must have just givem rds to provo for going forward cuz lucas dominanted for most of the fight.
