WBC are clowns. Let's not forget Vitali and his defences against uber bums. He can shake hands with Wílder

Vitali actually defended against some Top 10 ranked guys sometimes unlike Wilder.

Don't fall for this BS. This guy is a fabricated impending disaster and I really can't wait until a legitimate boxer (who's in shape, Stiverne!) get's in there and wrecks him. If Molina can give this guy all he could handle then what do you think Klitchko would do? What about Lennox Lewis or Evander Holyfield back in the day? One round, maybe two....Wilder would be a grease spot. SOMEONE PLEASE KNOCK HIM OUT
Win over Stiverne was not legit - at the next press conference Don King actually said Stiverne vs Wilder was a business transaction - this was at the Molina vs WIlder press conf - translation of "business transaction" is that it was a fix for sure as King and Stiverne sold the title to Wilder and Haymon as Stiverne is a ZERO draw - So ALL of Wilder's "fights" are suspect.

Wilder's opposition hasn't been great or even good...but he's better than people are saying.

HW history is littered with solid contenders who had it all in their right hand. He's a credible challenger and not an easy fight for anyone.

I gave Wilder space the whole time he was coming up and fans were lambasting him.. For me, you can take as long as you like to win a World Title.. But once you win it you need to fight top guys and Wilder never has fought decent contenders..

The ridiculous thing to me is turning down real good money to fight Dillian Whyte... He's better than anyone Wilder has faced.

I'm not a conspiracy theorist by any means but there's something to what you are saying here. I refer to it in the post above but I do know one of Wilder's knockout victims well and the facts surrounding how this fight took place and what Wilder's handlers did to make it look like a worthy and quality win. I won't mention the name because the guy never wanted to be involved. But the guy was fighting at 175 and had been out of boxing for years when he got a call to fight Wilder at heavyweight. He's 5'8", 180 pounds...his record was 12-38...not joking.

By the time, he walked inside the ring though...his record was a winning record. He was listed at 6'2" 220pounds. it was ALL fabricated and of course, he got knocked out cold inside 2 rounds. So if I know for a fact that they did this, that pretty much proves that they will do anything. Wilder is one big fabrication but it doesn't belie the fact that he has the tools and size to be legitimate but they will never put him in the ring with someone good enough to show us what he's capable of.

I can promise you with 100% certainty that everything I've stated above is absolute truth. I'm not a guy with any great connections in boxing, i just happened to know this kid because i grew up with him and played sports with him. It's pretty sad.

Lets get rid of Wilder then. Line him up vs Joshua after his rematch with Wlad. No reason not to do it. Let's see what he's got. If Hearn/Joshua doesn't want the fight, then it is on them. (I think it would be a great fight while it lasts) 60/40 fight, with Joshua favored.

If we hear "That fight needs to marinate some more", we know Hearn/Joshua team are avoiding the fight.

Cant flush WIlder down the toilet because that filthy rat Al Haymon needs him for his leverage and power. Haymon will protect this fraud by any means necessary. They will keep talking about big fights and unification while continuing to dredge up rubbish or fixed patsies. Haymon will manipulate the networks to buy the rubbish. Povetkin got in the way so haymon bought off the testing company and rigged it to look like Povetkin is a drug cheat. How Wilder is being exposed again by Whyte. They will try to ignore Whyte but if Whyte persists expect something very dirty and underhanded to happen to Whyte. This is what you're dealing with with Al Haymon. This POS will do anything to gain more power. And keeping Wilder as a fraud factor in the HWT division is a top priority for this human POS. Wilder will never be sacrificed to Joshua or Fury unless Haymon can manipulate a fix for those hwts to throw the fights. But that aint happening so Wilder will continue on with his WWE fraud circus rubbish. And a lot of idiots will buy it. There are A LOT of stupid idiots in this world.

Was that Damon McCreary? The 14-0 guy with 11 KO's who had 3 fights in the previous 11 years and used to be a 168 pounder, but gained over 90 pounds during those 11 years and actually became a heavyweight by that? I remember that fight, he had something with his leg I thought.

There is a lot about boxing that is distasteful, yet still we watch.

The brutal truth is that boxing is foremost a business.
We can pay for a product. If we don't like that product, we can stop buying.

That is just about all the only influence we can have.
No amount of interminable moaning or complaining can change that.

It might help those that are doing the moaning to relieve some stress, and it might just help piss the rest of us off. For such a macho sport, its incredible the amount of bellyaching going on.

And then you look at what men like Kell Brook go through just to get back into the ring.. How many of us would do it?

One avenue that's possible is using the courts to sue promoters, VADA, and the WBC for consumer fraud... This would take money, moxie, and endurance.

You'd need brilliant lawyers who are geniuses about both Boxing's problems and the law as it applies to consumers... You'd have to line up witnesses who won't be intimidated... And you have to sue for an appropriate amount that reflects how much consumers were actually damaged.

Lawyers contemplated lawsuits after the Ali-Inoki fight which was misrepresented to the public as a Boxing vs Wrestling event.. But according to a rewritten contract, Inoki was not allowed to wrestle or even grab and throw Ali.. He basically was restricted to kicking Ali to the back of his legs... Also, the final decision resulting in a draw was also obviously fraudulent because Ali didn't land a single telling blow and Inoki landed scores of kicks to the back of Ali’s legs.

That event that screamed consumer fraud... The defense would be that Professional Wrestling is basically a fraud anyway. That the winner is predetermined and the matches are choreographed to a degree. The difference is that Ali-Inoki was represented as a real event. A real athletic contest -- with professional judges and referee who are supposed to render a fair decision.. I believe a determined lawsuit would have been easy to win.

Wilder doesn't step up, unless het get's a ridiculous payday, which he doesn't deserve.
Even against guys where he got the odds against he's asking 7m and on top of that he still wants unfair advantages, nobody will ever accept that, even the best boxer in the world didn't even make half that much money against that same boxer.
Wilder can't be taken serious.

What if Hearn says 'AJ just needs to test his biceps/shoulder/hand first'?

Or

'We want to fight Wilder/Ortiz/Wlad/Godzilla, but we may as well stay busy and fight this C-level guy first'

Or

'AJ started boxing late and needs about 10 years and 40 fights before he faces anyone with a pulse' (oh wait, after 3 years and 18 fights he's already fought a top opponent---ya, it's probably him who will duck).

Nope, that's not the guy. I can't say because this is a small town and my user name is too identifiable in this sewing circle of a town. You aren't missing much by not knowing the name, trust me.

I recall there was talk of lawsuits after the Mayweather - Pacquiao fight regarding the very late disclosure of the shoulder injury. Then there's the question of a fighter convicted of use of PED's. recall there was talk of lawsuits after the Mayweather - Pacquiao fight regarding the very late disclosure of the shoulder injury. Then there's the question of a fighter convicted of use of PED's being sued retrospectively. It could get very nasty and could blow the whole thing open.

You're right it would take someone special to do this but if they could gather the support (political and legal) it could open up boxing the way the Bosman ruling did in football (soccer). Not beyond the possible, and probably long overdue.

I just heard Klitschko doesn't fight Joshua, so there is a possibility of Wilder fighting Klitschko! That would be awesome!

And just like with Whyte, if anyone beats Whyte, or Klitschko, he earned a shot at AJ imo.
