He's brilliant, probably my favourite current commentator. Analyses fights really well & can actually assess and disect a fight as it's happening, rather than making his mind up beforehand and repeating himself ad nauseum unlike certain Sky commentators.

Might have been a riot if it had been stopped and ruled a No Contest or Technical Draw with that crowd already pumped up

Why is there even a suggestion of Ormond 2 for Flannigan?

Ormond was beaten physically and mentally and realised the only way he could win was through cheating. He is behaviour was short of disgraceful that night and does not deserve a world title fight due to his behaviour.

I like Ormond as a fighter and I do hope he can come again, but he needs to get back in the queue and earn his shot.

Anyone know what has happend to Beltran. We all know that his fight with AO was supposed to be for this title, but not only did he not make weight but he also failed a drugs test.

But STILL nothing official from the WBO? The bout has not changed to a NC, but I noticed Beltran does not seem to be ranked.

The next top contender in the wbo rankings is that Gonzalez chap who gave Ricky burns a nightmare of a night before quitting. Tough fight for terry.

I would rather see Flannigan vs Mathews than Flannigan vs Ormond.

Although surely the fight for Britain has to be Flannigan vs Mitchell - although not much chance of that happening.

It is a good job Zepeda dislocated his shoulder on purpose, because if he had done it by accident, Flanagan wouldn't be a world champion

Yup. He quit again. Apparently refusing to fight on after an accidental low blow.

It's an awful shame for the bout tomwnd like that. Zepeda seemed to think a bit much of his power and Terry was not overawed, he placed good jabs and straight lefts and didn't look to run, if there's a rematch I'll put money on Terry, definitely.

He was wide open for Zepeda's right hand though, I think it was only a matter of time before he got dropped by one.

Have to wonder how this will affect Zepeda, Colin McMillan was never the same again after dislocating his shoulder, Dean Francis wasn't either, but Danny Williams not only won a fight with a right shoulder dislocation, in his next fight he bombed out an unbeaten opponent with two of the best rights he ever threw, and his shoulder never seemed to bother him for the remainder of his career?

Bit odd, clearly he didn't injure himself.... so don't know why that's not the same as an early round accidental clash of heads: technical draw.

From what I remember about Kevin, is was natural wear and tear from a manual job he did. Not a specific injury. Same happened to Kevin Buckley, shoulder messed up from plastering

He did injure himself, not deliberately but it was of his own doing. Clash of heads goes to the scorecards because it's the result of an accidental foul, Zepeda's injury wasn't. There's been plenty of dislocated shoulders in the past, none have gone to the cards and no one said they should have done. It's no different to a fighter breaking their hand or rolling their ankle, as we've seen many times before. The rules quite clearly state that a TKO win for Flanagan was the right decision.

Yes, I'm getting a tad confused here. I feel like I have missed some sort of Willie Pep masterclass. What I saw was Zepeda easily winning round one, and Terry getting round two

17 of Zepeda's stoppage wins were in the first 3 rounds, the thoughts beforehand were that Terry would have to the k up and weather the storm. Terry didn't box negatively or run, he backed the big hitter up and was busier. I thought he coped well and as the plan was to drown Zepeda late with volume it was going OK.

The way I imagined the bout was going to be split with Zepeda dominating early and going for the stoppage, 20 stoppages in 23 bouts and 17 inside 9 minutes showed he was very dangerous early. I thought Terry won both rounds though accept it may be that I was expecting him to get hurt early and then come back into it.

I scored for some lovely jabs for Zepeda....I am really happy for Terry though, but Zepeda really does deserve a rematch at some point....at the moment all we can do is wish him well in his recovery

Should be ruled a NC, I thought TD at least. I'm still expecting a case to be lodged, instant rematch if Zepeda is fit.

It was hard watching the corner try and put that shoulder back in, put me off my spare ribs supper(for about 30 seconds).
