Got to be a rematch, Ryan was beating him by a mile then put his back out. Hibbert can say what he likes about not having a rematch, if the Commonwealth Council have anything about them they'll order a rematch and he'll have to give him one or he'll be stripped of the title.

The boxer was unable to continue; regardless of a punch landing he could not defend himself so the fight had to be stopped.

Awful for Dave Ryan, he is clearly the better boxer and he had some awful luck, Hibbert is a decent fellow and after tonight I imagine how victory will feel hollow.

Ask him are you hurt, can you go on ? Get the doctor for an opinion ?? If his back is gone, take him back to his corner...not jump around like a maniac screening the count in his face.

Why have a rematch? Ryan is obviously going to win but is going nowhere whereas Hibbert has a chance of reaching a higher level. Doesn't make sense from Hibbert's point of view.

If Ryan's back hadn't have gone he would have won a landslide and probably had to face Hibbert again, he's clearly the better fighter and I'd have liked to see him push on for the European and I hope he does.

I'd put him in with Saunders. Saunders needs a proper fight to see if he is going anywhere.

Who fancies this to go beyond two rounds? Bit of a no-win situation coz AJ needs to overcome difficulties in the ring to move onwards and upwards but can't see Cornish giving him any difficfulty at all. Hope I'm wrong.

If a rematch isn't ordered I can see that being next, like you say Saunders needs to get moving and Hibbert is the obvious option, followed by the winner of Nurse-Jenkins.

Yes expe that's how Ryan is going to see it. I'm trying to see it as Hibbert and his promoters (who are now in the more powerful bargaining position) see it.
