He could always catch Joshua with a perfect shot and knock him out, but I think they're very much aware that Dillian doesn't have the skill to keep Joshua off him long enough for him to tire like Bruno
Also drug cheating athletes cant be as confident as they make out

It's heavyweight boxing, anything can happen. Whyte has a big chance, it isn't like this is the first fight between the two, he brings lots of skillsets to the table and is confident. This is a live fight for sure.

Agree. Whyte has ambition going in. He's not here to fall down.

Well I think Whyte is saying it takes one to know one...
let's just say in this day and age, with millions on the line, and testing an absolute shambles, the hugely impressive muscle AJ has packed on might look a bit suspicious in a certain light.

Is it really that surprising that a 26-year-old who essentially trains constantly has gone from 229lbs (3rd fight) to 249lbs (vs Cornish)? Thats 20lbs in two years.
Wladimir was 220lbs on his debut and was at 240lbs two and a half years later. Or is he on the magic juice too?

I'd bet money on it. Check a certain uk promoter's veiled reference to it last week.

Late 30s and has a body chisseled out of rock, year round. Should raise an eyebrow in the current climate...

Putting on 13lbs in 11 months looks more incriminating

Tyson Fury managed to pile on 17lbs in 3 months...
In all seriousness though, if you honestly think its
incriminating for a full-time, professional athlete to be able to gain a fraction over a pound a month then you will never believe he is "clean". There are plenty of sources out there that suggest 1-2lbs/month or 0.25-0.5% body weight increases are doable without resorting to steroids etc.
If he is ever proven to be cheating, then I will hold my hands up and call
myself a mug.

do you know what training twice a day does and how many calories would be needed? And to then still add so much muscle in such a small amount of time?!
Being caught cheating and doing it are two very different things these days.

There are some very well informed posters including Toby who can throw light on credible muscle gain with and without steroids.

Yes, I would be surprised if Joshua gained as much muscle as he has in such a short period without PEDS, especially considering the calories he's likely burning from training. I am not saying he is using (and I imagine that he'd hardly be alone if he were), but to me it seems like there is a very good chance of it.
And as someone mentioned, there is a big difference between violating the rules and being caught doing so.

1-2lbs a month, of lean gain, is completely doable for an athlete to gain per month. Even with a hard training schedule, lets not forget, bodybuilder don't gain muscle sitting on their asses, they're pounding weights.
Now, Joshua will be doing more cardio and road work, but he'll be doing weights too and it's all about nutrician and how many calories he can consume.
I'd also like to see his body fat percentage. He may look chiselled, but a 1 or 2% change on a 17st man may not be easy to spot to the onlooker. That's 2.5 - 5lbs of body fat we're talking about
And if he's gained a little body fat, that's less than 1lb a month lean mass he's gained.

whatever way it is that AJ has gained the muscle mass, in long hard fights it will drain him , look what has happened to sprinters in athletics nowadays , they have gone away from the really bulked up physique to a leaner but honed frame . Short blast outs are going to be his friend when he gets better opposition

Haha, mate, yes 1-2lbs a month is easy, if you've just stepped in to the gym, but adding it on to a seasoned fully developed physique is incredibly tough, especailly when fighting every few weeks and having to train to match the demands of regular fights.
also road work is what boxers who are being trained wrong do.

Floyd Mayweather does plenty of roadwork. Imagine how good he would be if he was being trained "right"!!!!!

I remember the last time I mentioned that he appears to have a distended abdomen and I got some abuse on here - although I still haven't changed my opinion.
I guess that it would be possible to gain 30 pounds of muscle in 2 years - but only if your starting point was a fat lard arse who went from sitting on the couch to a nailed on structured training and diet programme.
As 2 years ago Joshua was a long time full-time athlete and Olympic champion with access to the best coaches and nutritionists etc. I just can't see what could have resulted in such a step-change.
I re bet Hoyfield as a Cruiserweight champion, he became mates with Lee Haney and disappeared for a year before turning up looking better that Charles Atlas.

I think AJ's stomach is more down to the amount of Camp Eddie's sperm he has been swallowing....
I really hope Whyte bombs out 'the People's Roid Head'.... Hopefully with a body shot to his midsection so Eddie's ejaculate vomits out of his mouth, as Hearn turns a sickly shade of green
